Legendary singer Andrea Bocelli has announced he will be performing in Italy’s Duomo Cathedral this Easter Sunday.
As people prepare to celebrate Easter this weekend, many church’s worldwide are closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The impact of these closures has been felt by Christians across the world.
Now, Italian singer Andrea Bocelli has announced he is bringing the power of music into people’s home this weekend.
His intimate concert will be streamed online this Sunday!
The “Music For Hope” event with feature just Andrea and his organist Emanuele Vianelli in the church.
“On Easter Sunday (April 12, 2020 at 6PM UK), by invitation of the City and of the Duomo Cathedral of Milan, Italian global music icon Andrea Bocelli will give a solo performance representing a message of love, healing and hope to Italy and the world,” the Insta post reads.
“On the day in which we celebrate the trust in a life that triumphs, I’m honored and happy to answer ‘Sì’ to the invitation of the City and the Duomo of Milan,” Adrea said in a statement
