Wendy Williams has come under fire for making light of Amie Harwick’s murder on her show this week.

Renowned Hollywood sex-therapist Amie Harwick was murdered by her ex-boyfriend on Saturday, February 15th.
The author and therapist was once engaged to “The Price Is Right” host Drew Carey before the pair called it off in 2018.

On Monday’s episode of “The Wendy Williams Show,” the controversial talk show host brought up Harwick’s death during her “Hot Topics” segment.

She explained the story to her audience and clarified that it wasn’t Carey that killed her.
The segment took a tasteless turn when Williams said “Come on down!” — the famous “The Price Is Right” phrase used by Carey on the game show.

She then tilted her head up and down, seemingly referring to Harwick’s deadly fall.

The audience remained painfully silent as Wendy went on to question why her team asked her to use the word “allegedly” while speaking.

“He’s been arrested? He’s in jail as we speak? Alright. Allegedly ,” she remarked.
Understandably, Wendy’s comment caused huge backlash online.
Friends, family, and fans of Amie were deeply offended by the tasteless joke.
Now, Amie’s brother Chris Harwick is calling for Wendy to publicly apologize to him and his family.

He told Fox News : “Domestic violence is something no one should be joking about. “
“This is a difficult time for my family and for Wendy Williams to make light of this tragedy is very upsetting to us and extremely distasteful.”

He continued: “My sister worked tirelessly for domestic violence victims and women’s rights.”

“Wendy Williams should apologize publicly to my family for her comment.”
Wendy has yet to comment on Monday’s episode.

It is unclear if she will address the controversy at all.
