Amber Heard is facing backlash after fans took offense to the outfit the actress wore to a mosque in Istanbul.
The 34-year-old is currently on a trip to Turkey and is visiting many important landmarks,. And while many people are enjoying Amber’s Instagram pictures, others aren’t happy with the actress’s outfit, which was deemed “inappropriate” for visiting religious monuments.
Amber Heard has been in the news for several years now due to her tumultuous divorce from Johnny Depp.

They have both spewed a host of allegations at one another, but this time, Amber is not in the spotlight because of an allegation from her ex-husband.
Amber is facing backlash after going braless while touring mosques in Istanbul.

She took to Instagram to share some photos from her trip, most of which didn’t stir up any controversy.
However, the 34-year-old posted a picture of herself in a headscarf and tank top covered with a cardigan.
She captioned the photo : “Spent the day wandering around the magic of Istanbul’s mosques and couldn’t be more in love with this gorgeous city…”
While some fans appreciated the pic, others felt it was inappropriate for Amber to be visiting holy locations without a bra on.
“I am a Muslim, and that photo is extremely disrespectful and offensive; her racism and bigotry really are huge,” wrote one upset Twitter user.
“I’m a Muslim and it is indeed disrespectful and offensive,” agreed another.
It was made abundantly clear on social media that Amber’s followers were not impressed by the photos she had shared.
And it didn’t take very long for Amber to address the claims that her outfit was inappropriate.
In response to a news article written about Amber’s outfit backlash, Amber retweeted the article and tried to defend herself.
“Nope. Apparently whoever paid 4 this to b “written” wasnt paid enough. Ill make it easy(ier): Mosques are real places. So are museums & churches. So are head scarfs (where they are sometimes required n order 2 visit). Mystery solved,” she clapped back.
After explaining herself, many fans came to Amber’s defense.
“These ‘people’ (and we know who they are) should get a life and make better use of their time but unfortunately they are obsessed with you! Btw have a good time there Amber,” wrote one fan .
Although, not everybody was happy with her explanation.
“Mosques and churches are real places, however, there is a difference between a place of worship and a museum,” one follower replied .
Amber has since turned off the comments on the controversial pic, as well as all of her other pics from Istanbul.
