Ah, Christmas. After the year we’ve had, Christmas joy is exactly what we need.
I’m talking cozying up by a fire, sipping on hot chocolate with loads of marshmallows, and wearing your coziest PJs. But nothing about this scene would be complete without some holiday classics.
Thankfully, CBS has your back once again this year with their lineup of Christmas specials!
Friday, Nov. 27
Frosty The Snowman at 8/7c
Ah, such a classic. One look at the title and you might start singing the lyrics to the famous song.
The special is narrated by Jimmy Durante and also includes Jackie Vernon (as Frosty) and Billy De Wolfe (as Professor Hinkle).
If you noticed that the kids in the special are wearing shorts, you’re not alone.
That’s one of the main grievances people have with the Christmas classic. Because, seriously, who wears shorts in WINTER?!
Where are their parents??
Then, we have Frosty Returns at 8:30/7:30c.
Fans of John Goodman will recognize the deep voice of this magical snowman (it’s narrated by Jonathan Winters).
You can expect some of your holiday song classics like, yes, “Frosty the Snowman.”
Like the original film, Frosty is faced with the task of saving Christmas.
This comes after Twitchell’s invented a spray can that instantly removes snow and slush.
This leaves Holly to keep Frosty from melting as she tries to convince the town that snow is good.
Saturday Nov. 28
Robbie The Reindeer: Hooves of Fire at 8/7c
“Reindeer Games” become a real thing in this animated special, which features Ben Stiller as the main character, Robbie. He trains in order to compete in the Reindeer Races.
If he wins, he will become a part of the sleigh team for Santa Clause (red nose be damned).
If you loved the late Jim Belushi, you’ll love hearing him play Santa Clause. Ho ho ho!

Robbie The Reindeer: Legend of the Lost Tribe at 8:30/7:30c
Yes, Saturday, November 28 features two back-to-back Rudolph specials.
In this second one, Robbie battles Blitzen (voiced by Hugh Grant) as a way to stop his launch of a reindeer theme park.
Hugh isn’t the only celeb to lend his voice to the holiday classic.
You’ll also hear from these additional stars: Britney Spears, James Woods, Leah Remini, and the late Jerry Stiller. It’s bound to be a rockin’ time!

The Story of Santa Claus at 9/8c
Ever wanted to learn the story of Santa? Now’s your chance.
In this musical special, there is a gentle toymaker (voiced by Ed Asner) who has one wish: deliver a toy to every child on Christmas.
You’ve probably noticed a trend by now: a lot of celebs have lent their voices to these Christmas specials.
In this case, we have Tim Curry and Betty White.
We literally cannot think of anything as pure as Betty. Great casting!
Tuesday, Dec. 1
Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer at 8/7c
The ultimate classic! In this musical story, narrated by Burl Ives, who also voices Sam the Snowman, it recounts the beloved song we all know so well: how Rudolph’s shiny nose saved Christmas.
You’re bound to feel nostalgic from this film.
And probably even a little emotional, as it’s hard to see Ruldoph get picked on at first with his red, shiny nose.
You show those haters what’s what, Rudolph!
