If you’ve been watching The Today Show this past week, you’ve probably noticed that beloved meteorologist Al Roker has been missing in action.
Well, it turns out Al has undergone hip replacement surgery this week!

The 65-year-old told viewers about the worsening condition of his hip, “In the last three months, my left hip has been deteriorating.”
On Wednesday, Al underwent his hip replacement surgery and kept fans updated via his Instagram account.
But thankfully, Al was already back on his feet the next day!

He checked in with his Today Show colleagues and spoiler alert— he’s feeling great!
“I’m in far less pain than I was 48 hours ago,” Al told his fellow hosts during the live stream.

“The best thing is to just get up and move and be able to walk.”
“I’ve already gone down the hall to where they do physical therapy,” he continued.

“This hip can hold my weight. It’s pretty amazing to me, but I’m thrilled. I already feel better.”
We’re wishing Al a speedy recovery!
