There’s nothing quite as impressive as a long marriage!
Sure, it’s tough to meet someone that you can be with through thick and thin, but it’s even tougher to meet someone you can be with through thick and thin AND not feel tempted even once to take matters into your own hands the fiftieth time they leave their socks out on the floor right next to the laundry basket.
Not that I’m speaking from experience or anything.
Ted Danson and Mary Steenburgen are one of our favorite celebrity couples.

The couple have been married for 25 years, and they’re just as in love with each other as ever after al that time!
In a new interview, the couple talked about how they’ve managed to keep their love and marriage so strong for a longer period of time than a lot of full grown adults have been alive!
Ted and Mary first met when they were both married to other people in 1983.

The two were then reunited in 1993, after their own divorces.
“We both said the same phrase to ourselves, which was: ‘Obviously we cannot be in a relationship,’” Ted said . “I could ruin anything. I’m not relationship material.”
“I wasn’t ready for anything like a relationship,” Mary agreed.
Eventually, they came together! “We just kept working together and becoming better and better friends,” Mary said.

“I want as long as possible in my life with Mary,” Ted added. “I know it will have all of its hard parts but I want to experience love in all those moments.”
That’s almost enough to melt my frozen heart!
“Not to sound corny but I would sign up for 100 more lifetimes,” Mary said.

“There’s no hollow in my heart where I don’t love him, or where I doubt this love,” she continued. “There’s no secret place where I say we weren’t a thousand percent supposed to spend our life together.”
The more I hear from these two, the more I’m convinced that soul mates might just exist after all!
