NOTHING makes me tear up faster than thinking about the Irwins. They’re the best famous family by a LONG shot, and I am definitely not sorry to the Kardashians for saying so.
As Bindi Irwin gets closer and closer to the birth of her first child, all these old nostalgic emotions are being stirred up, and I know I’m definitely not the only one.
When it comes to famous families, it’s hard to do better than the Irwins.
Everyone obviously absolutely adored Steve Irwin, and the shoes he left behind were definitely big ones, which is why it’s so impressive that the family has managed to fill them and then some!
Steve Irwin was an absolute legend.
Nobody made caring about animals and the environment as cool as Steve did, and he did it all with a never-ending smile, grace, and a fantastic sense of humor.
It makes sense that his kids are leading their lives in a really similar way.
Bindi and Robert Irwin are practically spitting images of their father.
I mean that in the way that they’re continuing his legacy of animal welfare and conservation as well as his work at the Australia Zoo, and in the way that they look so much like him too, which you can tell whenever they take the time to recreate a famous photo of their dad.
It’s enough to make even a cranky old lady like me emotional.
Bindi, who announced last year that she was pregnant, recently recreated this image of her parents when they were pregnant with her younger brother.
“Recreating a very special moment. Third trimester love,” Bindi shared alongside the two pictures, one showing Chandler kissing her baby bump and the other showing Steve and herself kissing her mother’s.
This is maybe the cutest thing I’ve ever seen in my entire life.
Bindi’s pregnancy journey has been super emotional for many fans.
Not only is it emotional to see someone we all watched grow up have their own baby, Bindi’s treatment of her pregnancy is really reminding people of Steve!
Like when they announced they were having a baby girl and Bindi found a way to tie it back to animals!
“Baby girl, you are our world,” Bindi wrote on Instagram.
“Our beautiful daughter is now about the same size as a hatchling Aldabra tortoise and is as healthy as can be. We can’t wait for her arrival next year,” she wrote.
How adorable and so on brand!
It makes sense that so much of Bindi (and her new baby)’s life would be related to animals!
That’s why when Bindi shared a sneak peek at the nursery they’ve decorated for their baby girl, people weren’t shocked to find out that it has a heavy animal-related theme.
It only makes sense — this baby will be an Irwin after all!
Bindi has just recently shared a behind-the-scenes look at her baby’s nursery!
“Baby girl we can’t wait for you to be here,” she wrote alongside the photo, showing off a pink changing table, a light pink wall, and some absolutely gorgeous wall-art depicting baby rabbits, flowers, and butterflies.
We should’ve known the room would have a heavy animal influence!
Obviously, fans were ecstatic about the sneak peek.
“Congratulations to you both! If your little bundle of joy is anything like you and your husband, than she will [be] PERFECT! God Bless You on your journey to Motherhood,” one fan responded .
