Many new moms, including celebrities, feel the pressure to “bounce back” and drop the baby weight immediately. Even though celebs have access to things like a personal trainer, accepting their postpartum body and getting back into a fitness routine still takes time as Jessica Simpson recently reminded us with her latest postpartum update.
Earlier this year, Jessica Simpson welcomed her third child.
Jessica and her husband, Eric Johnson, became the parents of a healthy baby girl in March. They named their new addition Birdie Mae.
Thankfully, Birdie arrived happy and healthy but if you followed Jessica at all, you’d know she didn’t have the easiest pregnancy.
Jessica suffered from severe acid reflux and had to invest in a sleep recliner to help with the discomfort.
She was also hospitalized for bronchitis.
Pregnancy is already hard enough without the extra hospital visits. Thankfully, Jessica recovered and sent some love to all the other expecting moms out there.
Even though it wasn’t the easiest pregnancy, Jessica still had a sense of humor.
She shared this bikini bump photo a few days before her due date with the caption “Jess-tation”. I’m actually dying over this pun.
Once the labor and delivery was done with, Jessica shared postpartum updates with fans.
She didn’t shy away from topics like breastfeeding, or her postpartum workout routine. In this post, she joked about the “joys of postpartum” as she exercised in a rubber corset.
And now, six months after giving birth, Jessica has revealed her incredible postpartum weight loss.
In her Instagram post, she said she weighed 240 pounds at one point.
Since giving birth, she’s lost 100 pounds.
She looks amazing and it’s amazing that she was so honest with fans about her weight loss. She took it slow and did what was best for her body.
Since sharing her weight-loss update, fellow celeb moms have congratulated Jessica on her milestone.
