For people who get tattoos, it can often be a really sweet and emotional way to pay tribute to those in your life who you’ve lost through artwork or through a meaningful symbol. While we may not admit it, we might already have what our tribute might look like planned before the tributee even passes.
Joanna Gaines is admitting it!
HGTV stars Chip and Joanna Gaines are best known for their TV show *Fixer Upper.*

Of course, they’re equally as famous for being total relationship goals! They’ve been married for 17 years, and have clearly put a lot of thought into their life together — including what’ll happen when one of them passes away!
(Knock on wood.)
In their *Breaking New Ground: Expanding The Silos* special streaming on discovery+, Joanna revealed she already has plans for a tattoo in Chip’s memory.

“We decided to name Chip’s shop No. 16. It’s his favorite number. Anything we get of his now, his undies, his white T-shirts, we put No. 16 in it. It’s a thing,” Joanna explained while walking with Chip.
“It’s a family number,” she went on.
The Joanna revealed her plans for when Chip passes away. “I always say, when he dies, I’ll get ‘1, 6’ right there,” she said, pointing at her inner wrist.
“Aw, that’s sweet,” Chip responded.
That’s one word for it!
