Who doesn’t like a good secret? We’re going to show you a few. They’re not high-level, top- secret stuff . In many cases, the secret is hiding in plain sight. Still, there’s a little more to these pics than might meet the eye.
“Office building that’s inside…. But looks like it’s outside.”
This is almost an uncanny valley scenario: an office lobby that really wants to convince you that you’re outdoors, but can’t quite pull off the illusion.
“My apartment building used to be a school.”
I like to think that living here is kind of like going to high school: wake up, hit the hallway, get your stuff out of your locker and try to fit in with the cool residents.
“A Japanese ¥1 coin is so light it won’t even break surface tension on water.”
I’ve never handled one of these coins, but it must be a weird experience. It would almost be hard to believe it’s valid currency when it’s so feather-light.
“This red only rainbow I saw at midnight in Finland.”
There’s some stuff going on with colors and prisms and lights and all that in this pic. I don’t know, I’m not a scientist. It’s a striking and rare photo in any event.
“I found this ceiling light full of rubber ducks in a pub in Edinburgh.”
Why is there a ceiling light that’s full of rubber ducks in a pub in Edinburgh? We probably shouldn’t ask any questions. Just bask in the weirdness of it all.
“This unicorn picture is different in the mirror.”
I’m not even going to try to understand what’s going on here. The cool effect of being two different pictures almost justifies how ugly each of those pictures looks.
“My grass is an inch lower…and got frost. My neighbors did not.”
It makes perfect sense that the more closely-cut grass would have more frost, as it’s closer to the ground. Still, it’s a weird sight to see these two lawns next to each other.
“Someone peeled off 20 years worth of subway ads to reveal this Road Trip poster, circa 2000.”
I never thought that seeing an ad for a dumb movie from 20 years ago would make me nostalgic, but here we are. It was a simpler time, let’s leave it at that.
“This black car looks like a mirror after being washed.”
Believe me, there’s a car in this image. It’s taking up about 80% of the whole pic, actually. Once you see it, it all becomes clear.
“Found my old cell phone with optional clip on chatboard for ‘easy’ texting.”
Back in the day, you didn’t have to type things out in an achingly long process of cycling through the numbers to get to the letters you wanted — if you had the right attachment. My, how far we’ve come.
“A worker in my factory has a cowboy hat that doubles as a hard hat.”
Most folks who wear hard hats don’t customize them much, apart from a sticker here or there. But if you want to embrace your inner cowboy while staying safe on the job, here you go.
“Was cutting down a tree at a golf course and found a golf ball wedged in it.”
If you can be bothered to count the tree rings, you can probably figure out exactly how long ago this golf ball got wedged in there.
“This message stamped on the squeaker inside the stuffed animal my dog just destroyed.”
This is a fun little Easter egg. If dogs could read, this would be an indication that they’ve beaten the final boss inside their chew toy.
“There is a live crayfish defending the rice aisle in my local Asian market.”
I admire this little guy. He came in with some shipment and was dumped in unfamiliar surroundings. Despite this, he’s decided to defend his new territory.

I know that hard plastic is tough and durable, but when you buy steel toes, you want steel toes. Is this going to hold up if it gets run over by a truck?
“This sudoku book has a mistake on the cover.”
Any keen sudoku player who looks at the cover of this book is going to immediately assume that these puzzles aren’t on the level.
“The fat free one doesn’t have the pat of butter on top.”
Not only does the fat-free version have no pat of butter on top, it also has an extra spoonful of honey in the lower right. Otherwise, it’s hard to spot any differences.
