The world is practically filled to the brim with strange and awesome things just waiting to be found . And as luck would have it, people find them sooner or later.
And then they post those finds online for all of us to see. Seriously, what would we do without the internet acting as one big photo album for the world’s most random things?
“My colored pencil came with a chunk missing.”
I kind of don’t want to know what has to happen to a colored pencil in order for a chunk to be taken out of it. Like, those things are kind of sturdy. I guess not indestructible, though.
Okay but seriously, what happened?
“This movie prop money I found on the street.”
It never dawned on me that they used prop money in movies, even though it totally makes sense. Like, they can’t really use real money. And since counterfeiting is kind of a federal crime, they probably have to make sure it’s clearly fake.
“This bathroom from the 80’s.”
This is probably the nicest bathroom from the ’80s I’ve ever seen (like, by today’s standards). It actually looks like it’d been well-maintained – and in order to last, like, several decades without looking gross, it would have to be.
Still not my cup of tea, though.
“This road in Worcester, UK that has red street lamps so that it doesn’t scare away the local bats.”
I guess the fact that the red lights were put there on purpose, and not as the result of some 80s horror movie villain, makes it a bit better?
But to risk being around bats? Yeah, no thanks.
“This caterpillar I found.”
Sometimes you just have to take a picture of the random bugs you find while out and about. And sure, all bugs are gross. But that doesn’t mean they can’t also be kind of cool. From a distance, of course, but cool in any case.
“This motel has a sign that says ‘sorry’ and nothing else.”
Okay, tell me why I looked at this an immediately burst out laughing. It’s just so random! Why is this motel sorry? Who is it directing that single word towards? We’ll never know, and it’s amazing.
Bonus points if you read it in a Canadian accent.
“Found this beast of a lobster claw on the beach!”
Look at the size of that thing! If that’s just one claw, the rest of the lobster was probably huge. But I guess we’ll never know, since it probably got gulped up by some other sea creature. Ah, the circle of life.
“This house looks like it has no backside.”
I kind of hate buildings like this. They never make any sense. Like, obviously it isn’t flat, but how do they make it so that it looks like it is? Maybe I’m overthinking things, and this picture was just taken at a strange angle.
“Spooky trees.”
The vibe this picture is giving is real spooky. The old building sitting just beyond a thicket of leafless trees… yeah, that sounds like the beginning of a gothic horror story. I wouldn’t be surprised if there were ghosts, or reanimated monster men hanging all around this place.
“Dapper skeleton watches over me when I go to the grocery store.”

Yeah, I think it’s safe to say that Spooky Season is in full swing. I, for one, could not be any happier. Because it means people will find random things like this all around.
Seriously, where did this skeleton come from, and how can I own one?
“A cloud was moving quick enough that it partially blocked part of this rainbow.”
I don’t know which is the prettier view here, the rainbow that’s partially covered by a fluffy cloud, or the beautiful ocean (lake?) below it. The whole thing looks like something out of a picture book, and that chance shot of the cloud covering the rainbow makes it so much better.
“My toilet paper missed a single cut.”
Wow, that’s one looong piece of toilet paper. I guess the factory forgot to perforate just this section of the roll, which probably happens every now and then. I guess not even a factory with robotic parts can be perfect 100 percent of the time.
“One of the eggs I poached this morning came out looking like a human heart.”
Okay, that’s really cool. It’s also just a little bit creepy, but that’s fine. Seriously, though, how did this egg end up looking almost exactly like a human heart?
I don’t think I could eat it, to be honest.
“The hallway light at the Airbnb I’m staying at for a couple of days.”
This is such a cool light! It looks super old, like it came from the the days when electricity was still new. But that honestly just adds to its charm.
I’m not gonna lie, I kind of want one of those now…

Wow, it’s almost like this chicken tender is questioning its own existence. Or maybe it’s trying to get us to question ours? I dunno, but that wouldn’t stop me from chowing down. Chicken tenders are chicken tenders, after all.,

I really want to know how someone can just forget about baked beans for 4 days. 4. Days . In the microwave. That’s just nasty.
At this point, there’s no hope anymore. You’d have to throw that whole container out. The microwave, too.

I mean, at the end of the day, it’s what’s inside that counts. Both when it comes to personality, and when it comes to a chip bag. Who cares what the outside looks like (unless its, like, horrible mangled or super dirty or something like that).
“The ant bait I just bought came with dead ants.”
Well, at least you can tell that it works. Still that would be a pretty gross surprise to find when you first open up a pack of ant traps. The big question is, how do you get rid of all those dead ants?
“I pulled apart my cheese cracker and ended up with this Pac-Man face.”
This kind of looks like if Pac-Man was also a Chain Chomp from Super Mario. Very intimidating, yet also pretty silly somehow.
And such a specific shape to find after opening a cheese cracker. Seriously, what are the odds of this happening?
“The way this street light reflects royal blue on the pavement.”
Okay, that’s actually kind of pretty. Even if it is also kind of creepy. Like, not as creepy as those red bat lights, but still a bit unsettling.
Why this street light is shining blue/purple? I have no clue.
“The size of this bamboo in Colombia.”
At the risk of sounding uncultured, I didn’t even know bamboo grew in Colombia. But wow, that stuff is massive . I bet it could grow to be as tall as one of those California redwood trees (which are also massive).
I bet you could make a lot of things with that much bamboo.
“This Wall of Wine.”
This is really cool (because who wouldn’t love a wall of wine?). But at the same time, it’s kind of stressing me out. That’s a lot of wine glasses, and it would only take a bit of force for them to all come down. Hopefully those shelves are secure.
“Massive Carolina Reaper harvest from my ONE plant.”
In case you didn’t know, the Carolina Reaper is the absolute hottest pepper humans can eat. One bite is more than enough. Anything hotter than this and you’ll just burn your insides.
And that’s a lot of them. What do you even do with them all?
“This purple mushroom I found.”
I feel like I say this a lot, but I seriously love the fact that people keep posting pictures of cool mushrooms they find online. We all deserve to see these beauties, especially since so many of them look like they came from another planet.
“Got an MRI and the room looked like this.”
The fact that everything is so blue is strangely calming. But the way this room looks so clean and sterile is kind of creepy. Like some kind of alien laboratory or something. Is this really what getting an MRI is like?
“I was on the treadmill and notice that this guy’s wired headphones perfectly aligned with the small cables underneath the TV.”
Wow, it’s kind of like this guy is coming to life outside of the TV screen. Except not really, because that would be crazy. Right?
In any case, it’s always fun when things line up like that.
“Friend just found a set of keys in the park. They have tomorrow’s date engraved on the chain, and GPS coordinates!”
As you can probably guess from the date on the keychain, this was posted over 2 years ago now. And while Reddit had a field day theorizing what it all could mean, I don’t think they ever came out with a confirmed story.
“Bug stuck between the layers of a DVD.”
From my own experience with weirdly scratched and damaged DVDs, this thing probably works just fine. Even if that means the owner would have to stare at that gross dead bug every time they wanted to watch whatever’s on the disc. Still fine.
“This tree grew over a massive rock at the bottom of a cliff.”
Trees literally just do whatever they want, huh. Like, there’s a giant boulder sitting on top of the spot where it wants to grow? No problem, just grow around it. And keep growing. And become a tall, mature tree that sits on a boulder.
“I bought LED lights and this fidget spinner pen came in the package.”
Remember that fidget spinner craze that happened a few years ago? It was such a strange time. Now, though, the fad is long over, and something like this just seems like an attempt at marketing that came a bit too late.
