Yup, you read that right. Patricia Pardo Oliveira, aka @patriciapradooliv , accidentally started a small firestorm on TikTok when she posted a pretty innocent video of how she organizes her cutlery drawer .

She’s a TikTok user and organization fan who posts her life and home tips to the platform. While her organization videos do pretty well, I think it’s fair to say that her cutlery hack basically blew up.

This hack right here made people on TikTok BIG mad (as the kids say). To be fair, everything on TikTok makes people mad, but that’s another story entirely.
It’s actually so satisfying to look at, though.
I know we need to talk about the reactions, but let’s take a moment to look at how good that all looks. I wish everything in my life was as organized as this cutlery drawer.
The hack garnered millions of views.
The video of Patricia organizing her cutlery drawer quickly amassed views, garnering over 4.7 million views as of publication. What really popped off, though, were the comments.
Some people had their minds blown.
They felt that they’d been putting their cutlery away wrong their entire lives, or that they were taught wrong. I personally haven’t been doing anything wrong, because none of my cutlery matches.
But others said doing this was unrealistic.
I mean, this is fair. I can’t imagine trying to get kids to methodically line up the forks, knives, and spoons in a visually pleasing manner. It’s just not happening.
Some people REALLY hated it.
People seriously doubted if Patricia put her cutlery away that perfectly every single time. However, Jennie had the most compelling comment: those things definitely ended up falling over, right?
Surprisingly, some people had been doing this the whole time.
This interaction is so funny to me. @1creativeyaya found out how people normally arranged their drawers and said, “Oh, that’s not for me.” You have to respect that kind of honesty.

As I mentioned, none of my silverware matches. In fact, some of it is gold. There is no way in hell any of my forks will sit nicely together…unless I consider this hack a good excuse to replace my cutlery. HMM…

People were so shocked by Patricia’s cutlery organization that they duetted her video to record themselves reacting to it. @adeletartaglione88’s eyes just got wider and wider as she saw what was happening.
At the end of the day, I think we can all agree that organizing cutlery is a pain in the butt.
Whether you’re using Patricia’s method to line up your cutlery, or just recklessly piling it in the drawer, cutlery is one of adult life’s little annoyances.
