Over the years, movie lovers have seen many medical drama television series, but Grey’s Anatomy stands out. Since premiering on March 27, 2005, the show has continued airing for 19 seasons with about 400 episodes. Created by Shonda Rhimes, the series revolves around how surgical interns and their supervisors embark on a medical journey where they become part of heart-wrenching and make life-changing decisions to become the finest doctors.

‘Grey’s Anatomy’ Bags Another Award
On December 6, 2022, the 48th ceremony of the People’s Choice Awards was held at the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, California. Hosted by Kenan Thompson, the show saw some of the biggest names in pop culture come together to celebrate music, television, and film in the fan-voted event. With the people in control of all the winners announced at the event, some of Hollywood’s biggest names, movies, and series, left the show with an award.
Thankfully, Grey’s Anatomy was not left out as the medical drama television series emerged as the winner of the Drama Television Show of 2022 category ahead of other incredible shows like Euphoria , The Walking Dead , and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit .

Not long after the show bagged the award, a Grey’s Anatomy fan page took to Instagram to share gorgeous group photos of seven of the series’ cast members posing with the award. The snaps featured James Pickens Jr., Kelly McCreary, Caterina Scorsone, Chandra Wilson, Camilla Luddington, Jake Borell, and Ellen Pompeo.

Chandra accepted the award with a beautiful speech on behalf of all the Grey’s Anatomy cast members. Ellen Pompeo’s People’s Choice Award
Ellen Pompeo left the People’s Choice Awards event as a recipient of the Female TV Star of 2022 award. While taking the stage to accept her award, the actress who played Meredith Grey on Grey’s Anatomy for 19 seasons thanked fans for loving the show so loudly. To end it all, she noted that they wouldn’t be able to do it without the fans’ love and support.
Sadly, Grey’s Anatomy lovers will not be seeing Ellen in the series anymore as she announced her exit from the show on November 17, 2022.
