Actress and ’90s icon Candace Cameron Bure is best known for being timeless and eternally youthful. I mean seriously, she looks the exact same as she did 20 years ago.
With over 4 million Instagram followers, Candace has a lot of social media relevance, so when her not-so-traditional Christmas card debuted on Insta recently, it was met with mixed reviews.

Fans got to see a rare glimpse of the pair’s one-year-old son, Archie, in this beautifully illustrated card.
So when Candace Cameron Bure posted her more untraditional Christmas card, I’m sure she didn’t expect such a mixed reaction from fans.
It is the internet though, so truly anything is possible.
“Happy New Year from the Bures!! Looking forward to what 2021 has in store. I’m praying for unity, grace, humility, compassion and love for mankind. With God, all things are possible,” she captioned the Christmas pic.
The photo features Candace, her husband Valeri, and their three children: 22-year-old daughter Natasha, 20-year-old son Lev, and 18-year-old son Maksim.
The photo features all family members posing in different directions and for seemingly different photos.
While lots of comments were positive, some felt the picture was a little too high fashion for a family photoshoot.
“What’s wrong with Natasha, looks like she’s photoshopped,” wrote one fan.
“Why do your daughter & son look so angry???” asked another.
“Fakest family ever! Who does this? Is it a catalog picture? And those dead looks on your kids’ faces says it all,” commented another.
In response to the comments, Candace commented on her picture, saying, “Wow- I post a family photo and you all find everything you don’t like about it or can make fun of.”
She continued: “Do better than that. Please.”
However, Candace didn’t stop there.
Taking to Facebook, in a spicy post the 44-year-old wrote , “I posted my family Christmas photo and sadly, there were so many unkind comments.”
“Do you think it’s funny to criticize someone’s children? To make jokes about them? To critique our poses? The direction in which we are looking? Our physical appearance and facial expressions?” she continued.
“I wished blessings upon everyone as I shared it in the spirit of a happy new year, yet so many of you came back with jokes about our appearance and criticism of what you thought would have been a better photo.”
Of course, Candace had a lot of support from her fans, who encouraged her to focus on the positive comments.
“You have a beautiful, loving family. I pray for those who are so judgmental and hateful towards someone they know nothing about,” wrote @jeannatheis2.
“Omg people can’t someone’s post of their beautiful family wishing everyone a Happy New Year be just that?!?? Stop making everything political. No matter what America is the best country in the world. Happy New Year,” agreed @liljazi.
“Those who find a million faults with this photo have obviously never taken a family photo,” joked @brit_sov. DAMN, IF THAT AIN’T THE TRUTH!
