These glimpses might not change your life, but they have a way of imprinting themselves on your memory, just because they’re so unusual and fascinating . And today, we’ve got a whole bunch of them for you.

I’m just going to come out and say it: the content of that letter is boring. Still, it was nice of Mr. Asimov to take the time to write it, and it’s certainly worth hanging onto.
“Someone paid me $5 in mini bundles of dimes today.”
Why would one carry around tiny rolls of dimes? Do they just pass them on with no explanation, leaving everyone baffled? Is this actually one of those frugality hacks that works?
“The white patch of fur on my puppy’s chest looks like a bird.”
Much like clouds, you can see almost anything in a pet’s fur patterns. But in this case, it really does look like a bird, and it’s very much front-and-center.
“There was a large dinosaur in my Sour Patch Kids.”
Here’s the mystery to end all mysteries. What candy lineup does this dinosaur come from? Is this a preview of an all-new candy, Sour Patch Dinosaurs? Because I’d be down to crush a bag of those.

It’s pretty cool how the daisies are following such a linear pattern. I wonder if it’s because the soil underneath the old path is different. Whatever the case, nature’s doing something interesting here.
“A log with coins people have inserted.”
One thing’s for certain: this log is never, ever getting sawn up. Just think of what it would do to a chainsaw’s blade, let alone the person working the saw. That’s a yikes and a half.
“This big Toblerone I bought.”
Toblerone bars used to be bigger than they are today. They weren’t this big, no, but they were definitely bigger. Who even knew you could get a Toblerone of such immense proportions? I sure didn’t.
“Someone added googly eyes to every single item on this Starbucks drive-thru menu.”
I’ve always seen the Starbucks menu as soulless and corporate, but these eyes help give it a slightly warmer personality. The secret to cleaning up your public image might just be as simple as a bag of googly eyes!
“This street art that uses drainage holes as part of the drawing.”
Art like this takes on a three-dimensional quality simply through incorporating real-life stuff into the drawing. It really makes you want to include a toothbrush somehow, too, doesn’t it?
“The inside of an elementary school safe.”
If you’re in elementary school, this is truly a forbidden view of illicit treasures. What I wouldn’t have given to rummage through that as a kid. Of course, if you’re an adult, it looks like a junk drawer.
“Garage door on the corner of the building.”
There’s no reason garage doors can’t be placed diagonally on the corner of a building, but seeing it in real life feels all kinds of weird, almost like there should be a bylaw against it or something.

Blueberries are usually eaten by the handful, but this one’s big enough to be eaten like an apple or an orange. I’ve never encountered a blueberry that even approached the size of this thing.
“My treadmill kicked all the dirt from my shoes into a ‘heavy’ and a ‘light’ pile.”
This is a cool phenomenon that nobody could have expected. It’s also a reminder to maybe use indoor shoes when you’re working out in your home gym.

It looks like a relaxing hot tub, but I’m guessing it’s probably best not to jump in. At the same time, it also sort of looks like a witch’s brew, which it’s also best not to taste.

We all know that wild-caught salmon is superior. If you had any doubts, just compare the cuts of meat shown above. We seldom get to see them side-by-side to show off the difference so well.

My favorite thing about this photo is the shape of the bowl. It’s imperfect. I guess it’s hard to keep things perfectly circular when it’s dropped, tossed and thrown into swimming pools every summer.
