Most people love cats . However, there are some people who like to talk a lot of smack about our feline friends, claiming them to be overly aloof, self-absorbed, and a general bloody nuisance.
Well, one cat that has been taking the internet by storm is certainly not the sort of cat that you would want to hear you talking smack about it behind its back!
The cat in question is a particularly buff-looking hairless sphinx cat.

While they can be incredibly popular in certain circles, hairless sphinx cats can divide people — with some individuals loving them and others hating them.
Due to their lack of fur, you are often able to see certain sphinx cat’s muscles a lot easier.
Although, this cat’s muscles can likely be seen from space, fur or no fur.

The image of the cat was uploaded to Reddit, where the original poster explained that the cat suffered from “myostatin-related muscle hypertrophy,” according to The Mirror .
The image of this insanely ripped cat has since received just under 100,000 upvotes — most likely out of fear of being beaten up.
The condition which causes this is quite rare.

Myostatin-related muscle hypertrophy causes a reduction in a body’s fat while increases the size of the body’s muscles.
“Affected individuals have up to twice the usual amount of muscle mass in their bodies. They also tend to have increased muscle strength. Myostatin-related muscle hypertrophy is not known to cause any medical problems, and affected individuals are intellectually normal,” MedLine writes of the condition.
There were a lot of people who had quite interesting takes on the jacked feline.
While the majority of people enquired about the cat’s health, there were some people who had such interesting reactions as: “I bet he purrs like an engine,” and “No Sarah, I don’t think that I will get off the table.”
“This cat just smoked DMT and started a podcast,” wrote another person.
This condition has previously been seen in a handful of other animals including cows.

Due to how rare this condition is, the U.S. Department Of Health & Human Services writes that it is “It is not known how many people are diagnosed with myostatin-related muscle hypertrophy. Unfortunately for the rare diseases, there’s often not a calculated incidence or prevalence.”
While the numbers of people and/or animals suffering from this illness may not be know, it is known that the cause for this condition is a genetic mutation, according to Popular Science .
