If you’ve been wanting to refine your pallet while also sticking close to familiar comforts, Queen Elizabeth II might just have the solution for you.
The Queen’s estate has announced a new project: a royal brand of a select few condiments , ones we can only assume were made to the Queen’s taste. Are you wanting to give this royal flavor journey a go?
The Queen’s estate made an unconventional announcement recently.

Prepare for a refined condiment experience as the Queen is releasing her very own brand of tomato sauce, or ketchup.
She’s also releasing a brown sauce, a.k.a. steak sauce, meaning you can make a royal upgrade to your fridge shelves.
The ketchup features some unexpected ingredients.

A source told The Sun that the ketchup is made with dates, apple juice, and spices. Meanwhile, the brown sauce is “packed with vinegar and spices.”
You may already be craving these just by the sound of them, but if you’re outside the U.K., you may have to wait a while before you can get your hands on a bottle.
They’re currently only available at the Sandringham Royal Estate in England.

However, people expect (and are hoping) that they’ll become available on the estate’s website as well. Don’t expect to pay standard ketchup prices for these bottles, though, as both condiments are going for about $9 a bottle, and that’s not including shipping.
Though it may seem a bit odd, if you know the Queen’s tastes, it makes a lot of sense.

She’s apparently a known fan of burgers. Former royal chef Darren McGrady shared that she eats her burgers without a bun, making condiments necessary for dressing her patties, and this passion could have easily led to a condiment line.
It’s not the first time the royal family has stepped into the food and drink industry either, but this ketchup venture is still quite the departure!
