Jamie Lee Curtis ran into her friend and fellow actress on a recent red carpet and had a few words for her.
No, you didn’t miss some big Hollywood fight. Curtis just really wanted to tell I, Tonya star Allison Janney exactly what she thought of her outfit.
Curtis makes a surprise appearance at the event
Back in July, the Freaky Friday star showed up at Matt Rogers and Bowen Yang’s first-ever Las Culturistas Awards in Los Angeles. That’s where she bumped into Janney.
Someone caught the moment on video, and Janney later posted it on Instagram.
Her words were meant as a compliment
Curtis wasn’t throwing shade at all. If anything, she was just being the best hype-woman ever, because she was clearly blown away by how Janney looked.
Janney posts the clip with a playful caption
Janney put up some photos from the event, along with the video of Curtis looking her over and saying: “You can go f**k yourself,” before they hugged.
She wrote under the post: “What a thrill to attend the @lasculturistas awards!
“Thank you @fayedunaway and @mattrogerstho and for my favorite red carpet shout out @jamieleecurtis I adore you! Also @sethmcfarlane for my favorite animated shout out.
“Don’t miss the Las Culturistas Culture Awards airing August 5th on @BravoTV and streaming on @Peacock! #CultureAwards2025… Oh also, I want to thank my glam team!”
Fans had sweet reactions to the exchange
Fans instantly knew it was all in good fun, and they only hyped it up more in the comments.
One person wrote: “Jamie Lee’s response to seeing Queen Janney’s whole outfit was THE best response! We are all feeling the same.”
Another said: “If you’re ever having a bad day @allisonbjanney you just need to come to this post and rewatch Jamie Lee Curtis reaction to you! Or the video of that smooth slow catwalk in that outfit! A literal Goddess.”
A third comment read: “Omg the legs all the way up to the sky!!! @jamieleecurtis I am stealing this response!!”
Someone else added: “Love seeing women supporting women.”
Curtis is known for her bold remarks
Curtis has never been shy about dropping a swear or two when it comes to her friends, and this wasn’t the first time she’s made headlines for it.
She also defended other celebrities in the past
Not long ago, she spoke out about the rumors that Liam Neeson and Pamela Anderson might be dating. She kept it short and straight to the point while defending them.
She said: “With all due respect to pop culture, if love has found their way into that relationship, God bless them both!
“Leave them the f**k alone. And let them like each other because both of them have had hardship and they’re both beautiful humans – it makes me cry.”
