Black holes are one of the most fascinating and mysterious phenomena in our universe, which has naturally prompted many to wonder what it would feel like to fall into one.
It goes without saying that a person in a black hole would most likely die, but that doesn’t mean we can’t imagine! YouTuber Zack D. Films recently released a video to show us just that.
Black holes are a mystery
The space agency NASA has done a lot of research into the phenomenon; it categorizes the quintillion black holes we’ve found in space as “among the most mysterious cosmic objects.”
NASA explains on their Black Hole info site that we do not fully understand them yet, so they are a mystery to most.
A black hole isn’t even exactly a hole in space
“These objects aren’t really holes. They’re huge concentrations of matter packed into very tiny spaces,” their website reads.
“A black hole is so dense that gravity just beneath its surface, the event horizon, is strong enough that nothing – not even light – can escape,” they added.
The event horizon is like the edge of a cliff
“The event horizon isn’t a surface like earth’s or even the sun’s. It’s a boundary that contains all the matter that makes up the black hole,” NASA continues.
While scientists know a lot about black holes, we still don’t know what the matter inside their event horizons look like.
A YouTuber wondered what it would be like
Because we aren’t sure what the matter inside a black hole looks like, naturally, we wouldn’t know what being inside one would feel like.
The YouTuber Zack D. Films decided to dream up that exact scenario. He creates all sorts of simulation video content of random — but intriguing — situations.
He has made all sorts of simulations
The content creator has made simulation videos on what happens to your brain after you die, as well as one on how drinking too much water could kill you.
In one of his videos, he spoke about what would happen to the body if someone fell into a black hole.

He started by explaining, “If you fell into a black hole, the gravitational pull would stretch you out in a process called ‘spaghettification.’”
“As you get closer, the gravity at your feet would be much stronger than at your head, pulling you longer and thinner,” the YouTuber added.

He continued, “Eventually, you’d pass the event horizon. At this point, time would appear to slow down for an outside observer, but for you, time might seem to speed up.”
It is certainly clear how much of a mind-boggling experience it would be.
He finished the video explaining the end
“Finally, you’d be crushed by the immense gravity, merging with the singularity at the black hole center, lost forever in its depths,” he said.
As if turning into spaghetti and losing all concept of time wasn’t enough, gravity would crush your body in the end.

One of them said, “I think the scariest part of this is dying in a way that no other human had died before, making it the loneliest, unpredictable and most terrifying death ever.”

Another commenter said, “Not sure what’s scarier, the idea of becoming spaghetti or the human model used for this animation.”
Falling into a black hole appears to be just as complicated and dark as the phenomenon itself, let’s hope nobody ever finds themselves at the event horizon of a black hole.
