Life never likes to let us have it easy. No matter how calm we may be, life likes to pop out of a cupboard and shout something like, “Check out this nightmarish honeycomb monster someone ended up with!”
In order to show off some of the weirdest times that life tried to startle us, here are 20 times life jumped out and said “Boo!” despite knowing full-well that we don’t like surprises!

Wow, this sign really doesn’t mess around at all does it? I think that the exclamation mark at the end really adds a threatening tone to this whole message.

Oh God, I dread to think of what the inside of that car looks like right now. They might need to give the car a bit of an air out after they manage to fish it out!

One person did point out that, “This [hot tub] will keep you warm for the rest of your life!” However, the amount of time that you can enjoy that life for is up for debate.

I still wouldn’t fancy staying in that tent even though one individual pointed out:
“[Those are Harvestmen and they] have no venom glands or silk glands (they do not spin webs or build nests). Harvestmen do have a pair of scent glands that secrete a peculiar smelling fluid when disturbed. Most importantly, Harvestmen pose absolutely no danger to humans.”
“A snowman I should not have created…”
Why would anyone ever think that it is a good idea to create a snowman who just likes to creepily perv at you through your windows? This is not what snowman-building is all about damn it!
“I was just trying to ride a bike near a nesting magpie when this happened.”
There is something about the moment that this image was taken which makes it look as though this guy was absolutely loving being pecked by this magpie.
“This school project someone’s kid made…”
Someone else did posit that this person now lives in the house owned by this honeycomb monstrosity, which scans. This weird head looks as though it controls whatever environment it is in through pure fear.
“This Hermit crab using a discarded doll head for a shell.”
This is like something out of the original Toy Story that got cut out at the last minute, and with good reason. Can you imagine how many kids this would have scared the living daylights out of?!
“I washed a blanket with my clothes and it basically disintegrated…”
Christ, that is a flimsy blanket to have fallen to pieces so easily! That washing machine is going to need one hell of a cleaning after this…what a fun way to spend an evening!
“Just some regular rubber gloves washing accidentally opened the gate of hell.”
If I opened the washing machine and saw this lurking within then I think I would have a heart attack. It looks as though they are trying to drag you into Hell!
“The way my boyfriend puts away the utensils.”
I just could not live with someone like this. I mean, look at the state of that. I am far from a clean-freak, but there are some things that are just unacceptable and this is one of them!
“My 9-year-old daughter did this…I’m slightly concerned.”
I would be a little bit more than concerned if I were them. I wonder what Woody did to incur such a wrath from this nine-year-old. This is like a Toy Story and Reservoir Dogs crossover.

There were a lot of people sharing horror stories about injuries sustained from trying to fix one of these on their own…so the moral of the story is get help with this kind of fix!

Nothing could have prepared me for this image. However, I can definitely see why they call it the bleeding mushroom. That name is pretty bang on the money if nothing else.

Life giveth and life taketh away. Although, sometimes it can feel as though life takes away more than it gives! Maybe they should get a lottery ticket, life might balance things out!

At least that is the right place to scare the crap out of you. It is really well done, but as someone who isn’t great with heights I can already feel my feet tingling.

Well, that is a quite terrifying surprise, but terrifying in a very different way to the gloves dragging you into Hell through your washing machine — what a great phrase that was to write down.

These are really terrifying! The one at the bottom and on the right also looks kind of like The Sandman’s helm as well. Gotta love a good Sandman reference somewhere where you don’t expect to find one, eh?
