One of the hardest parts about losing someone is knowing that all new memories you create in your life won’t involve them, but luckily for so many of us we can carry our existing memories around with us on our phones, computers, or just in the photo albums we have in our homes.
It feels truly special when the family of stars that we all loved dearly lets us in on these memories by sharing the photographs with us.

Princess Diana was truly the people’s princess.

While Charles didn’t write a caption for this photo, many fans responded with their own messages of love and support for Diana and her memory.
Some fans shared their own memories of Diana in response.
“A fond memory… I was her doorman once at the London Palladium, there was a brief moment, a few seconds in time, where, as she passed, she gazed into my eyes and smiled, and even now I think, so much was said in that moment,” tweeted one fan in response, while another (above) shared a photograph of their father meeting the Princess in 1985.
Others pointed out how much they thought Diana looked like Princess Charlotte, Prince William’s daughter and Diana’s granddaughter.
I can definitely see it! While William’s children with Kate Middleton didn’t inherit his or his mother’s blonde hair, their faces are definitely similar!
I think both Diana and Charlotte also have mischievous twinkles in their eyes, but maybe that’s just me!

The pain of Diana’s loss will be felt for many, many years, especially by those closest to her, but we can all find comfort and solace in the fact that she will always live on in our fondest memories!
