Tons of musicians have been putting on free live-streamed concerts.
Keith Urban held a show on his Instagram that included his wife, actress Nicole Kidman, doing backup vocals, much to the delight of the couple’s fans.
“Thank you so much for being the person you are,” one fan commented.
“This really brought me joy. And kudos to Nicole for being there for us all,” they added. While Keith certainly wasn’t the first artist to do so, tons have followed in his footsteps.
Artists like Chris Martin of Coldplay.
And other artists like John Legend, Niall Horan, Hozier, and tons more have been live-streaming concerts on social media that fans can tune into for free, just for some entertainment during this tough time.
Country music legend Garth Brooks is one of them.
During his live Facebook show Inside Studio G , a fan suggested that Garth put on a live-streamed concert himself, to which he replied, “Let’s do that! This will be cool.”
Garth then put out a call for requests for himself and his wife, singer Trisha Yearwood.
“Monday night at 7pm ET the Queen and I are playing your requests during #StudioG,” Garth tweeted out. “Tweet your song requests with #GarthRequestLive.”
Obviously, the show was a huge success.
The concert, which is unfortunately not available to watch anymore, drew a massive 5.4 MILLION viewers which caused the live-streaming platform to crash for a lot of hopeful audience members.
“I know I said I was going to take this down, but some people said in the comments that they got kicked off because of capacity,” Garth amended the Facebook post.
“So we are leaving it up through the west coast airing until 8pmPT. Love you all, g & T.”
Unfortunately, that means if you missed the window, you’ll just have to wait for his next one!
