Not all days go as we plan them to — and while some surprises can be very welcome ones, there are also some which are far less than welcome!
So, from people who turned their kitchen into a hazard zone to individuals who had horrific tales to tell from their childhood, here are 30 times people’s day took a turn that was not exactly a welcome one!

They really could not have forgotten anything more integral to a PB & J than forgetting to put the PB & J on your PB & J. It is in the name for God’s sake!
“When the morning hunt doesn’t go quite as planned.”
I suppose that you could say that the hunt actually went very well for this lizard, he managed to catch himself a giant cat after all! I like how the cat just does not look even remotely arsed in the second picture.

I do not think that a dad joke has ever caused someone such psychological damage before! Their dad must have been unbearably happy with himself after making this joke, it’s one hell of a weird power play.

“Got the car second hand so they probably just threw in the nearest spare tyre,” added this person. As if getting a flat tyre isn’t bad enough, this would be the cherry on top of the cake.

How did they not notice that they had left an entire spatula in there?! I am sure that it will still be okay to use once it has cooled down though.

That is not the worst impromptu fix that I have ever seen. They managed to do a very neat job of this all things considered, but I wonder if this would actually just attract more attention?
“There was an attempt by them to make a gluten free cookie.”
Maybe they meant that this cook has free gluten in it, not that is it free from any gluten? That would make a lot of sense, right?
“I don’t think the person who made this understands what it means when you put a line through a word like that.”
I think that the designer knew exactly what they were doing with this, I just think that they are not the biggest fan of the police.

That is some truly impressive stupidity right there. I can see that error staying in place for the foreseeable future though, no one would want to go back and own up to having made this mistake after all.

In order to explain how this sort of thing is possible, one individual added: “Many high end Japanese knives can be fairly brittle because of the heating process, but the same qualities that make it brittle on the edge are what allow then to be sharp enough to split silk down the middle.”

How does anyone even let their car get to this state? Seriously, how could you get into that skip on wheels and think, “Yep, this is fine, time to drive to work!”

There is a lot more space to fit presents underneath this tree now though, so that is something. Also, it is good to see that some trees are now being made for Australians.

Is this just a t-shirt designed specifically to annoy gamers? If so then it is a pretty damn effective wind-up tool! I can hear the screams of thousands of people already shouting, “That’s not Zelda, Zelda is the sodding princess!”

Wow, getting a question wrong is bad enough, but getting a question wrong four times all at once is something else entirely!

Christ, what was this cologne bottle made out of? And how heavy is it?! Maybe they should have made the sink out of the same material as the cologne bottle instead of apparently making it out of a gossamer thin material.

But, why would anyone do this? Is there any genuine reason as to why the formatting of this book is like this?! Maybe the person who designed it is just a terrible person who likes ruining books?

The person who posted this explained: “Just bought my first house. Was told there was hardwood under all the carpet. Tested a discreet corner in the closet, which did in fact have hardwood beneath. But not the living room. Looks like I’ll be spending too much money on new flooring now…”
“Apparently you can’t mix Coke Zero and Fanta.”
Wait, there are actually people out there who enjoy mixing Coke and Fanta? I had no idea that this was even a thing. It looks like something that had been scooped out of a lake.

Mmmm, everyone lives the clinic, burning taste of hand sanitizer! You would have thought that the server could have warned them about the fact that this was hand sanitizer?
That’s A Lot Of Damage For One Single Day!
“Had a magnet pen for 4 years, sister borrowed it for 1 DAY and I have 6 missing magnets, 5 damaged beyond repair and a whole bunch of missing metal parts,” explained the person who owns this poor pen.
“When my husband gets mad at me, he puts things where I can’t reach them (I’m 5’3″). Then, he hides my step ladder.”
He clearly should have placed the stepladder up with the thing that this person was trying to reach in the first place.
“My mom locked my inhaler and some other things in this hotel safe and forgot the code.”
You would have thought that an inhaler would be somewhat important to have to hand. Also, did this person’s mother really think that someone would want to steal the inhaler?
“They put a wooden lid above the plastic one to make it seem more eco friendly.”
Why would companies ever put their money into actually finding ways to be more sustainable when they can just pretend to do it? No one wants to do hard work!
They Didn’t Think This Through!
The story behind this one was: “After 8 hours of class everyone comes back to the dorm only to find new locks and finger scanners on the doors and none of the staff know the codes or how we can get into our rooms.”
“Black Friday. No spaces to park. He saw me taking the pic, flipped me off and called me a Karen.”
The favorite response to this image was from one person who suggested that they, “Buy some bike locks and daisy chain a bunch of carts around his vehicle.”
“Before and after my little brother ‘borrowed’ my racket for badminton practice.”
Someone needs to tell this person’s brother how to play badminton properly. Or, they just need to think about getting this kid some pretty serious anger management classes!
That’s Not What It Looks Like…
“Saw these little chocolate bars laying on the table and decided to take a bite. Turns out my brother painted solid clay brown at school today to prank me. Needless to say, he got me,” was the backstory to this image.
