In today’s day and age, it’s become more common for couples to have children before they decide to get married, if they plan on getting married at all.
Even though, these families are on the rise, there are some people who still think it’s shameful for unmarried couples to have children.
Besides being a busy actress and entrepreneur, Kate Hudson is also a mom to three children.
She has two sons: Ryder, 15, with ex-husband Chris Robinson, and Bingham, 6, with ex-fiancé Matt Bellamy.
In 2018, Kate welcomed a baby girl with her current partner, Danny Fujikawa.
Baby Rani made her debut on October 2, and she is seriously too precious for words.
Recently, Kate was asked if a wedding was on the horizon for her and Danny, as Kate’s brother recently tied the knot with his girlfriend.
“Oh god! I’m not thinking about that,” she said in an interview with ET .
She went on to explain that a wedding for her and Danny wouldn’t be, “anytime soon”.
“Yeah, especially after one wedding, you’re like, ‘Whew!’ It’s a lot of work but yeah, not anytime soon but I love the man!” she said.
Online, people tried to shame Kate for her response.
One Facebook user noted that Kate has “Three kids, three dads”. Blended families aren’t something to be ashamed of!
Someone even claimed that Kate’s been married “ten times”.
Actually she’s only been married once, but even if she had been married 10 times, so what? It’s her life.
However, many fans also came to Kate’s defense.
One user pointed out that Kate’s mom, Goldie Hawn, and her longtime partner, Kurt Russell, have never been married.
In fact, the two have been together since 1983!
They’ve been together for nearly 40 years and have never been married, so there!
At the end of the day, we shouldn’t be shaming moms based on their marital status.
