As exciting as this time of year is, the holidays can be stressful for families that can’t afford to give their children lavish gifts. A viral post that’s been circulating for a few years is encouraging people to buy simple “Santa gifts” as part of their Christmas tradition for this reason.
Traditionally, Santa brings toys to good girls and boys on Christmas eve.

Even though the exact origin of this post is unknown, the idea has continued to gain steam online each Christmas.
A lot of parents have supported this idea saying they have opted for simple Santa gifts, and keep more expensive gifts to mom and dad. This is a small way to keep the tradition of Santa alive and fair.
A lot of people like the idea of Santa sticking to stocking stuffers and a small gift.
Since this post first started circulating in 2016, a lot of families have welcomed this tradition in their own home. If you think about it, it makes sense. Santa is an elf — he can’t build an iPad. He just knows how to make toys!
