It seems like a lot of couples have found a lot of ways to pass the time while in quarantine, with many people revealing that they have babies on the way. Celebrities are no different, and the latest celebrity couple to reveal that they are expecting is Katharine McPhee, 36, and her husband, David Foster, 70.
Katharine McPhee and David Foster have been married since 2019.
The couple met in 2006 when David was a mentor to Katharine and the other contestants of season 5 of American Idol , but they did not begin dating until 2018.
The couple hasn’t been shy about their 35-year age difference , and have joked about it in the past.
David Foster has five children from a previous marriage, some of whom are older than Katharine.
His 38-year-old daughter, Erin, doesn’t have a problem with their age gap. However, since she has revealed that the only problem she and her sisters, Sara; 39, and Jordan; 34, have with their relationship is that Katharine McPhee is just too beautiful .
Good problems to have!
“Our biggest issue with [Katharine] is how hot she is,” Erin said in July.
“Her body is insane. When she comes over for family Sundays, I’m like, ‘Do not get in a bikini.’ My husband’s always like, ‘Kat, get in the pool!’ And I’m like, ‘Simon…'” Erin told People .
“Interestingly, the age difference has played a role in a positive way,” Erin added.
“Our dad comes from a generation where women are more passive. He is also passive about his feelings. Kat has really pushed him to open up. We could get into a fight, and then Kat’s like, ‘No, you have to pick up the phone, call your daughter back,'” she went on.

The age difference certainly hasn’t stopped them from trying for a baby, as it has just been revealed that the couple is pregnant!
People reported that the two were expecting their first child together after photographs of the couple shopping for baby items were taken — with a sizable baby bump already showing.
This must be some exciting news for the pair, and we couldn’t be happier for them!

This will be Katharine’s first child, while David has five children (Allison, 50; Amy, 46; Sara, 39; Erin, 38; and Jordan, 34) from previous relationships.
