Gallery walls have become a pretty popular home decor style over the years.
While many people took on a more minimalist style, this style is all about showing you can be an organized maximalist, and make clutter beautiful.
No matter how effortless people make them look, they’re not the most simple to lay out.
A lot of people have different hacks for getting the perfect gallery wall.
Some trace all their frames onto paper and tape them to the wall with painter’s tape, or they measure their frames and transfer the measurements to the wall using painter’s tape.

However, it can be quite wasteful in the end.
On top of that, when you finally get your gallery wall sorted, you need to figure out where the nail needs to be hammered into the wall.

TikTok user @aliyarinaldi shared a quick and simple hack from her interior designer mother that will solve all your gallery wall problems.
You simply put a dab of toothpaste right onto the picture hanging hook.
Then, you walk over to where you want to hang your picture and gently tap the frame onto the wall.
When you peel your frame away, the dab of toothpaste should have transferred onto the wall, showing you wear to hammer your nail.
Grab your nail, hammer it in, and wipe away the excess toothpaste with a cloth.
Just hang your frame and enjoy your perfectly organized and hung gallery wall! It’s far more sustainable than using a roll of tape or multiple sheets of paper to get the perfect hanging picture frame.
