Good news for all Tim Allen fans! His hit sitcom Last Man Standing has just been renewed for a ninth season on Fox! The show has had its ups and downs over the course of its run; after six seasons on ABC, the network declined to renew it for a seventh, which caused outrage among fans until Fox picked the show back up. And now, here it is, being renewed for a ninth season!
*Last Man Standing* has been a smash hit since its first season in 2011.
The show stars Tim Allen as Mike Baxter, an executive at an outdoor sporting goods store in Colorado, and his wife and three daughters. Eventually, the men dating his daughters also become a part of Mike’s life.
Tim Allen just announced on Twitter that the show has been renewed for season 9.
This news was confirmed by Fox Entertainment president Michael Thorn, who said , ” The Resident and Last Man Standing are such important parts of Fox, and we’re so pleased they will be returning next season.”
Thorn’s statement continued:
“We want to thank all of the writers, actors, directors, producers and talented crews for both of these shows, and, of course, our friends and producing partners at 20th Century Fox Television,” he said.
Fans are obviously ecstatic.
