Ben Affleck Opens Up About 'Slip' In Sobriety: 'I'm Not Going To Let It Derail Me'
He initially acknowledged his first year of recovery in an Instagram post.

"HA, you got me. I’m dating," he started off the caption to this post, referring to recent rumors about his love life. "But let’s be serious for a moment and talk about something that is actually important."
"I have been in recovery for over a year and part of that is helping out others."

"@themidnightmission is an incredible organization that helps those in need with housing, training, development and recovery," he wrote, adding that he was planning on making a donation to help support those who are struggling and do not have resources.
However, Ben was recently spotted looking inebriated after a Halloween event.

In a video obtained by TMZ, Ben is seen walking unsteadily and using his car to balance himself after almost falling over.
Ben just spoke to TMZ again to acknowledge the incident and has remained optimistic.

He told TMZ, "Well, you know, it happens. It’s a slip, but I’m not going to let it derail me.”
