Jane Fonda, 81, Arrested While Protesting On Capitol Hill

Actress, activist, and model Jane Fonda most recently known for her starring role in Netflix's hit show Grace & Frankie, has been arrested while protesting in D.C.

Fonda was demonstrating on the Capitol with the group Oil Change International.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Fonda was protesting on behalf of the environment, and had previously stated, "I will be on the Capitol every Friday, rain or shine, inspired and emboldened by the incredible movement our youth have created."

Fonda had in the past referred to these protests as "Fire Drill Fridays."

"I can no longer stand by and let our elected officials ignore – and even worse – empower – the industries that are destroying our planet for profit. We can not continue to stand for this," Fonda's website reads on the topic.
