Of course, the memes started flowing as soon as his ugly face was revealed. Because there’s nothing that Twitter likes more than comparing weird looking people to other pieces of media.
We got an obvious comparison to Darth Vader.
Although the scenes have interesting parallels.
The one from Star Wars: Return Of The Jedi is a beautiful moment of a father reconciling with his estranged son (30-year-old spoilers?) and the other is… well, not that.
He also kind of looks like Varys
Well, after Varys has taken a fair amount of Dragon fire.
I dunno, he kind of screams more poisoned person rather than a burn victim. But the bald heads do match.
Next, we see him as one of Sid’s toys.
An interesting comparison, considering up until his final moments he was Cersei’s toy. And also, he does eventually kind of rise up to disobey her? Almost like Sid’s toys? I’m trying to find some parallels here, people.
There’s a comparison between him and a member of the Addam’s family.
And honestly… I think Uncle Fester might be too h******e to be the Mountain!
They look alike sure, but I think when it comes to being a violent s****t, Uncle Fester takes the cake.
We got comparisons to a wrestler.
That I can totally see! And honestly, I would love to see the Mountain take on Hulk Hogan at a wrestling Pay-per-view. Summerslam is coming up Vince McMahon, get on it! ,
One Twitter user thinks he looks like Thanos
Which I don’t really see if I’m being totally honest. No lines throughout the chin, his skin is a different shade of purple and the Mountain really doesn’t scream “alien overlord” to me. Genocidal, maybe, but not an alien.
Here’s another Marvel comparison.
Which I think is a lot more apt. He’s greyer, he’s as violent and crazy as Drax, and I think if Drax came back from the dead he might look like the Mountain.
Some have compared him to a certain scene from “Trainspotting”
Remember that scene? Yeah, apparently that baby and the eldest Clegane look similar.
There are others that compared him to a horror icon.
By the way, Twitter user, the character’s name is “Pinhead”. I could definitely see Gregor Clegane as a cenobite too. “Pain has a face. Allow me to show it to you”. That’s definitely a Mountain line!
They compared him to a certain cartoon character.
I consider myself an expert on cartoons, and honestly, I had no idea Angelica even had a baby brother! But yeah, they totally do look alike, I can 100% see it.
We got a Dr. Who comparison
I know I’m committing an internet sin here, but I have only seen select episodes of Dr. Who . I know, I know, I should be immediately fired. Please send all your angry letters to my bosses.
And finally, we got the Disney crossover we’ve all been waiting for.
Uh oh! Looks like we’ve found someone to play Chien-Po in the upcoming Mulan remake! Then again… the Mountain might be a little too violent for a Disney watching audience.
