Well, the episode fans have been not-so-patiently waiting for has finally arrived.
The third Game of Thrones episode of the final season just aired, and fans have a lot of thoughts about it.

We were prepared from the start.
We knew that this episode would show us no mercy, especially when it came to our favorite characters. We had no idea who we’d be saying goodbye to.
Right away, we were squinting.
If you didn’t have every other light in your house off , good luck seeing literally anything during this episode.
Thank you to Melisandre for making it a little more watchable.
The darkness only added to some of the mystery… and anxiety.
If you lost track of someone in one scene, you were just holding onto sheer hope to see them in another one.
People have thoughts about Daenerys.
I will admit that she pulled through at the end. Watching her pick up a sword and kind of defend herself, was interesting.
But seriously, if you can’t see anything up in the clouds, maybe fly a little lower to ground?
We love a good callback.
If I’m being honest, I had forgotten all about this scene.
Fortunately, this fan was here to point out the eye color of Arya’s enemies. Spooky.
Some characters probably wouldn’t be so happy about that reminder.
If I was Cersei, I’d be investing in some color contacts right about now. Green eyes who?
Jon was a commendable fighter this episode.
If I were him, I would have been running around going “I told you so! See those dead zombies running at your face? I wasn’t lying, was I?”
Even if he wasn’t necessarily the best strategist.
And to be fair, as far as he knows, yelling at the dragon actually worked! So that’s 1/5 for poor Jon, who maybe really does know nothing after all.
A moment of silence.
If I was placing bets on who was going to die this episode (not going to lie, I did), Lyanna was on this list.
But I had no idea that her death was going to be the most iconic of the night.
Okay, Bran.
I’m not surprised that he was completely useless during this episode.
But still, we were all somehow still disappointed.
I mean, he was right. The Night King did want to target him.
But he really just peaced out and let everyone else do the heavy lifting. He’s probably going to spoil Endgame for everyone in the next episode, isn’t he?
Speaking of which…
Did anything come of him deciding to become the three-eyed-raven?
We saw what the Night King was up to, but that didn’t really help him in any way, shape or form, did it?
Some characters’ motivations were a little lost on us.
Maybe it’ll be explained to us in the next episode, maybe it won’t. That’s kind of how the show operates.
Arya saves the day…again.
All in a hard day’s work, honestly.
This scene will absolutely go down in history. Now let’s see how she handles Cersei.
She did it in the most classic Arya way possible.
Just try and catch her. That’s one of the perks of being small — she’s too speedy to stop.
