I hate to be the pessimist over here, but nothing is meant to go smoothly. Like drinking coffee in a white outfit. If you don’t think that’s a risk, I commend you. But this is why I wear black at all costs (and also maybe because I’m still stuck in 2004 in my emo days).
Anyways, there are plenty more struggles that women deal with, and I can guarantee you’ll be empathetically cringing in agony with them.

No, really. A makeup explosion can really ruin all your nice things. It’s imperative to wrap each makeup item individually in a bag to prevent a tragedy like this.
Eyeliner is like the Ouija Board planchette of the makeup world — it just goes where it wants.

This happens to me pretty much every time I wear makeup.
And in the middle of rubbing your eye, you pause, hand still on eye, realizing what you’ve done.
You slowly release your hand and examine it, seeing the unfortunate result, and then slowly head to the bathroom to inspect the mess left on your face.
Sometimes it’s fine, sometimes it’s not.

This is what happens when the cap comes off your lipstick in your purse.
Not only do you now have red lipstick all over the inside of your purse, but your favorite lipstick that you were excited to wear is now covered in…I mean what isn’t it covered in?!
Long nails look absolutely fire and powerful.
But they can be really hard to work with when you’re not used to them.
Everything and anything gets stuck under them!
When you finally find a pair of pants that fit…oh wait…
This situation happens to me all the time. This is why I despise shopping for jeans.
And when you do finally find the perfect pair of jeans after months, even YEARS, of searching, and this happens.
You can’t even turn them into shorts, either, because it ripped too high up.
Ugh.
When you finally do your nails all cute and stuff and this happens.
I am legitimately curious as to how other women’s manicures are perfect. It’s as if my nails never dry, because even when I think they are, I wake up to creases, bumps, and nicks.
I don’t know how this even happens, but it does.
How does one miss the mascara tube? In the blink of an eye, you’ve managed to get mascara all over your hands and all down the side of the tube.
The worst!
This has definitely happened to all of us.
Your mascara application is going well until you switch eyes, and somehow scrape the wand along your nose.
This mascara nick isn’t even that bad!
When you drop your makeup and you don’t want to look at the possible aftermath of its fateful fall.

We’ve all made our hands accidental art pieces trying to find the perfect color.
It doesn’t matter if it’s eyeshadow, lipstick, eyeliner, or blush, it can be so dang difficult to find the color you have been envisioning in your head that you want.
To be honest, I find when you’re actually focusing on applying eyeshadow or eyeliner is when the problems happen.
It’s best to just zone out and let the eyeshadow and eyeliner take you where it wants to go.

Like how many days and face rinses does it take to completely get rid of any trace of makeup?

I’ve had maybe four clean mascara applications in my life.
And then when you clean it up you then have to try and even out your concealer and re-powder your face and it’s just so much work for such a little mistake.
Has anyone actually ever successfully secured both false lashes on their eyelids?
Not only does it take about 50 attempts to get them in the right place, but then at least one of them never stays.
What gives!
Imagine yourself all excited to open a fresh eyeshadow palette and you see THIS.
Not one pans are shattered, but virtually the whole palette is ruined.
When you didn’t bother to test your concealer at the store and get home and realize it’s not your color.
I’ve done this too many times. You would think I would have learned my lesson by now, but nope.
Anyone else have butter fingers?
And I’m not talking about the candy bar, which I obviously wish I had plenty of.
At least it didn’t get on carpet! Although, maybe the bottle wouldn’t have smashed if it did.

Face masks are all fun and games until they essentially glue themselves to your skin.
I thought face masks were supposed to be relaxing? I can feel my face fuzzies being ripped from my face just looking at this.
Some days are just a struggle, but we all make it through, no matter how many makeup wipes it may take.
