As you might have already heard, Ellen Degeneres has suddenly become a victim of cancel-culture after some of her former and one current employee came forward, revealing that she has always been less-than-pleasant to work with and be around.
While several celebrities have corroborated the accusations with stories of their own, a few have spoken out about their positive experiences with Ellen by defending her on social media.
In case you missed some of the only relevant celebrity news lately, let me get you up to speed!
Showrunner, Ellen Degeneres is in hot water after BuzzFeed News , essentially, exposed that the employees of The Ellen Degeneres Show haven’t been treated well by her — someone who has been preaching kindness since day one while the cameras are rolling.
Ellen eventually issued a seemingly heartfelt apology, which was met by a follow-up *BuzzFeed News* article alleging sexual misconduct against one of Ellen’s producers.

Naturally, this news traveled very quickly on social media, continuing to tarnish Ellen’s already shakey reputation.
While several of her employees and celebrities have come forward corroborating the allegations, there are a few celebrities that have chosen to side with Ellen instead and show their support on social media.
1. Scooter Braun.

Scooter Braun (someone who already has a less-than-shiny reputation himself) has empathized with Ellen.
“People love to take shots at people. They love to see people fall. How quickly so many forget,” he tweeted .
He continued on by saying: “@TheEllenShow is a kind, thoughtful, courageous human being who stands for what is right and highlights on her show the best of us,” he added.

“She has helped change the views for equality. “
“Needed to say this as I know first hand how she helps so many when we are watching and when we are not,” he wrote in a separate tweet.

“She isn’t about what is popular she is about what is right. Sending love to Ellen today .”
2. Katy Perry.

“1/2 I know I can’t speak for anyone else’s experience besides my own but I want to acknowledge that I have only ever had positive takeaways from my time with Ellen & on the @theellenshow,” Katy tweeted .
“I think we all have witnessed the light & continual fight for equality that she has brought.”
3. Portia de Rossi.

This one doesn’t come as a surprise since Portia is Ellen’s wife. But nonetheless, she is standing by her.
“To all our fans….we see you. Thank you for your support. #stopbotattacks #IStandWithEllenDeGeneres #IStandByEllen #IstandByEllenDeGeneres,” she wrote on Instagram.
4. Jerry O’Connell

He kept it short and sweet but still made sure to voice his support.

5. Nacho Figueras

“I have been patiently waiting for someone with more authority than me to speak up about what a great human being @theellenshow is. I have been very lucky to be on that show many times and I can tell you that it is a very well run machine, everyone was super nice, not just to me but to each other and anyone involved,” Nacho wrote on Instagram alongside a photo of him and Ellen.
“I have seen Ellen act not just in her show but in public appearances in theaters where she is nice to absolutely everyone, the guy serving the coffee, the person in the elevator, the security guy and the owner of the venue. Everyone loves her because that is who she is,” he continued.

“She makes the world a better place for millions of people everyday and we cannot hit her because something may have not been perfect. No one is perfect, and we cannot control everything. So I stand for you my friend and I challenge all the amazing people that know you and call you a friend to say who you are.”
6. Kevin Hart.

Kevin took to Instagram to share a compassionate message, blasting Ellen’s critics.
“It’s crazy to see my friend go thru what she’s going thru publicly,” he wrote . “I have known Ellen for years and I can honestly say that she’s one of the dopest people on the [expletive] planet.”
“She has treated my family and my team with love and respect from day 1,” he continued.

“The internet has become a crazy world of negativity….we are falling in love with people’s downfall. It’s honestly sad…When did we get here ?”
“I stand by the ones that I know and that I love. Looking forward to the future where we get back to loving one another….this hate [expletive] has to stop,” he went on.

“Hopefully, it goes out of style soon….This post is not meant to disregard the feelings of others and their experiences .”
“It’s simply to show what my experiences have been with my friend,” he concluded. “Love you for life Ellen.”
7. Ashton Kutcher.

He also took to Twitter to express his feelings about everything going on.
“I haven’t spoken with @TheEllenShow and can only speak from my own experience. She & her team have only treated me & my team w/ respect & kindness,” Ashton tweeted.
He continued on by saying: “She never pandered to celebrity which I always saw as a refreshing honesty.”

“When things aren’t right she handles it and fixes.”
His tweet, like everyone else on this list, was met with immediate backlash.
8. Diane Keaton

Diane loudly expressed her feelings about Ellen on her Instagram.
“I ALWAYS ENJOYED MY VISITS TO THE ELLEN SHOW. I’VE SEEN HOW THE AUDIENCE EXUDES HAPPINESS AND GRATITUDE. SHE GIVES BACK TO SO MANY INCLUDING ME.” she wrote on Instagram.
