Amazon Now Sells A Potty Training Helper That Glows In The Dark

Apparently, I was an easy kid to raise in a lot of respects. I was quiet, well-behaved, and sometimes even resolved situations that were better suited to someone beyond my years.

However, nobody's perfect and one part of my childhood that was a parenting nightmare was getting me to potty train. I obviously don't remember the details of it, but suffice to say, that part was rough.

And although that's not an uncommon experience, it may not be that way for long if one product deserves all the hype it's getting.

As this photo makes very clear, the product we'll be discussing today is called a Toddler Target.

According to its product page on Amazon, it costs about $30, but it's also supposed to be fully adjustable to fit any toilet.

As you might have guessed, it's intended to help give a kid something to aim at while he's learning to use the toilet.

It also maintains that bright glow no matter what time of day it is, so if we're dealing with nature's call late at night, it should be just as easy to use as it is in the day time.

The unit is also supposed to be built to last and to withstand any cleaning product you would wipe on its surface.

After all, even the most impressive potty training aid is going to run into trouble quickly if you can't clean it properly. It's a messy business.

Not that we can remember, but it was a little intimidating for most of us to use a toilet for the first time.

However, gamifying it as much as the Toddler Target does is supposed to help kids make that independent toilet training transition easier.

That's also likely why the product page mentioned the positive response the company's received from parents with special needs children and kids on the autism spectrum.

What also helps is that the product is designed not to waste the batteries it needs.

The Toddler Target uses a motion sensor, so it shouldn't drain the batteries when it's not directly being used. In any case, it takes two AA batteries.

Although there have only been 18 customer reviews so far, most of them apparently had positive experiences.

As you might imagine, these were mainly from parents who were tired of the messes and smells of the potty training process and found a marked improvement on both fronts once they started using the Toddler Target.

However, it seems the product has also proved useful to some dads too.

After all, the older we get, the more of a fact of life those late night trips to the bathroom become.

And thanks to the fact that it doubles as a night-light, some customers reported that it helped their husbands find a convenient way to pee without turning on the lights.

And when one customer did note that their Toddler Target was defective, the company actually replaced it for them.

Apparently, their first one had a faulty motion sensor, so it drained the battery quicker than usual.

Even though they communicated this through a customer review and didn't contact the Toddler Target company directly, they still received two replacement units and an apology written by the company's president.
