Weird, random pictures might just be the best part of the internet. When you look closely enough at them, you might end up finding interesting details you might not have noticed otherwise.
The pics in this list all show (mostly) normal things, but in ways we might not expect. And to be honest, they’re all incredibly neat.
“Wood break looks like a tiny city.”

It’s weird to think that this just happened by chance, since all the little bits and bobs look so intentional. Like, you could tell me this is a miniature city model and I’d believe it.
“Walked past someone’s collection of BMWs, all the same colour.”

I couldn’t even imagine having two of the same car, let alone a half-dozen or so. Either this person really loves this car in particular, or OP just walked in on some kind of break in the simulation.
“The pattern my cup makes under restaurant light.”

I love the fact that the glass is making such a cool pattern. It kind of looks like a flower, or a pumpkin, or something. It’s kind of amazing how light and glass can work like that.
“I found this old Capri Sun embedded in some moss in the woods.”

This thing got so withered and flattened from being out for who knows how long, it almost looks like a tarot card or something.
Actually, I think juice pouch-themed cards would be really cool…
“Uncovered Upright Piano.”

You never really think about how a piano is able to produce such beautiful sounds just by hitting the keys. But as this pic shows, there’s a lot going on in those things.
“My Cheese-Its came out in Tetris shapes.”

If it were just a couple, that would be one thing. But the fact that four blocks (plus the regular Cheez-It) are there is kind of uncanny. They’re just missing the one that’s kind of shaped like an S.
“A tablecloth was on the table for 10 years … here is the result.”

According to OP, who replied to a couple comments on the post, the pattern stuck because it got bleached in by the sun. But it almost looks like dust to me.
“Man’s upper body looks like it’s floating in a clothing store.”

Yeah, it took me a couple of seconds to realize what was happening here. But if you look close enough, you can see one of the guy’s legs behind the mannequin. No weird supernatural stuff to see here.
“Took a bite of my apple and it’s red inside.”

Apparently, this is a pink pearl apple , which was developed in the U.S. It’s supposed to look like that.
Man, I kind of want to try one of those things now.
“I peeled a lime.”

Yeah, that’s definitely surreal to look at. But I also just want to take the time to appreciate the fact that someone went through all the effort to peel a lime, just so that the internet could see what a peeled lime looks like.
“The ceiling on this walk-in freezer.”

I guess that kind of frost buildup can happen to any freezer, no matter how big or small it is. I bet it’s because the door’s been open a lot, what with people walking in and out.
“This building has curtains on the outside.”

My only guess is that this is for some kind of art installation or construction project. Because having curtains on the outside of a building would make no sense otherwise. How do you even close them?
“This is someone’s front yard.”

I really want to know how people end up with road signs. Like, even having just one seems like a mystery to me. Meanwhile, this person has at least a dozen in their yard. Like, how?
“I saw an exposed waterpipe that looks like a soft ice cream.”

I mean, a random exposed pipe is pretty strange on its own. But the fact that this one is exposed in a way that makes it look like an ice cream cone? Wild.
“Flat sink that drains without a bowl.”

I’m not gonna lie, I straight up thought someone installed a tap on a counter for a second. But nope, it’s just a (relatively) flat sink. Like the ones they’ve been putting in public restrooms.
“My friends ID photo is burned into the plastic on his wallet.”

I don’t know all the science that explains this kind of thing, but it’s probably because of the dye from the image rubbing off on the plastic cover. Or something.
“My wife and I bought the same pillow four years ago.”

And that right there is why pillow covers are so important. Especially if you’re a serial drooler (don’t worry, it happens to the best of us). I’m also pretty sure this is part of the reason why we’re supposed to replace our pillows every so often.
“ITAP of my flight during take-off.”

Pictures like this really show you how fast airplanes actually travel. And it’s kind of insane that we just… sit in these big flying machines that take us around the world in hours.
“The building in Detroit being built from the top down.”

I can confidently say I’ve never seen a building built from the top down before. I’d ask if that’s even structurally possible, but the fact that they’re doing it tells me it is. Probably.
“Recently came down with hand, foot, and mouth disease. The rashes on my fingers follow my fingerprints.”

Somehow, this is both super fascinating and super terrifying at the same time. Probably because that interesting design was made by a painful rash.
