Is it just me, or do you also feel that the increasingly chaotic everyday life has us striving toward order, beauty, and perfection ?
As it turns out, there are other people like us. In fact, there’s a Reddit community dedicated to that. It’s called Oddly Satisfying ( r/oddlysatisfying ). Here, people post seemingly mundane things they have stumbled upon that trigger pleasant sensations . Let’s take a look at a few amazing examples of that.
This Leaf Gradient

OMG, is this real? How? I don’t know, but if this isn’t the best display of what nature has to offer us, I don’t know what is. I’m so happy somebody was able to capture that. This photo brings happiness to my heart.
These Zebras

“These two zebras lining up randomly, and perfectly.”
Aww, that’s so nice, huh? At first, I wasn’t sure what I was looking at, but now that I see it, I love it. Nature is so wonderful. Isn’t it? Scenes like these really do make me happy.
This Temple In India

Wow! Would you look at that? I knew there were amazing temples in India, but I’d never seen a picture like that. How did they even build that? It’s quite stunning. Isn’t it? I bet it’s such a sight to see it in person.
This Gorgeous Lime

Oh, my! I had to take a second look at this picture here. I wasn’t sure what it was, to be honest. And then people pointed out that it’s a cross-section of a lime. Who would have thought that huh? Something so simple can look so beautiful, no?
These Lithops

“Lithops are South African plants that have evolved to look like stones.”
Is it just me, or do you love to look at these too? I don’t know if they’re easy to take care of, but I’ve wanted to get some for a while now. I just hope I won’t destroy them like most plants, haha. Fingers crossed.
These Salt Mountains In Iran

“The Zagros mountains formed when the Arabian Plate collided with the Eurasian Plate leaving lots of ridges and faults for salt diapirs to form. A salt glacier, about 14 km across, in the Zagros Mountains. Nowhere else in the world such cumulative of salt domes can be seen, according to UNESCO.”
Oh, my!
This Plant Growing On A Tree

Holy moly. What plant is that growing on that tree? I bet you’re wondering too. Well, it’s actually called a zipper plant. They are crazy on walls and stuff if you’re not used to them. They almost look like fake plant decorations. It’s seriously such a cool plant.
This Butterlfy And Flower

Lately, I’ve noticed that there aren’t many butterflies around. I don’t know why. It’s pretty sad because they are such a sight. Am I right? Especially when you can find one color-coordinated with a flower like that.
These Matching Pets

Speaking of matching, I feel like these two pets are doing just that. Aww! Not only is each one of them as cute as a button, but together — they’re a match made in heaven. I bet they’re best buds too.
This Yin And Yang

Oh, my goodness! To a cat lover like me, this picture here makes my heart sing. First of all, how did these kitties fit inside this lower pot? And secondly, they’re the perfect example of yin and yang.
This Lily Pad

“Not just any lily pad, a Victoria water lily pad. Covered in spikes that will poke right through neoprene waders. When we have to prune the pads on these lilies at work, I literally have a knife on a pole to cut the stalks and use a leaf rake to get the pads out of the water and into a wheelbarrow.”
How interesting, huh?
This Floor Heating Arrangement

“Saw a post about floor heating on here, this is my freehanded version.”
Let me ask you something if you arranged floor heating like this, would you feel pretty satisfied? Oh, yeah! It’s too bad all this beauty is going to get covered up. Am I right?
This Intricate Hand Pattern

“Drew a pattern on my hand.”
Oh, my! Are you telling me that somebody free-handed this perfectly symmetrical pattern on their hand? That’s amazing, eh? And now I wish they could do that on my hand, lol. It’s super mesmerizing.
These Tulip Fields

Okay, first of all, I thought it was some kind of odd carpet, haha. But then I saw people in the distance, and I was like, no. That can’t be right. Can you believe how awesome these tulip fields look from the distance? I’m in total awe.
This Egg Perfection

Who here loves making eggs for breakfast? Oh, yes! Sign me up, please. But did you ever come up with perfectly cracked eggs that look like yin and yang? This person did, and they’re dang proud of it.
This Hairstyle

Truth be told, I love putting my hair in braids, but sadly I’m terrible at it. So when I look at perfection like this, I can’t help but envy the person who created it. I would pay big bucks for somebody to do that to my hair.
This Bi-Color Tree

Is it just me, or does this scene remind you of a Tim Burton movie? I feel like any second, Alice in Wonderland or Mad Hatter will appear here. And I wouldn’t be mad about it at all. Isn’t this absolutely gorgeous? I’m in love with it.
This Crescent Moon

“The lighting under this bridge that makes it look like a Crescent-Moon in the water.”
Wow! Can you believe that? This picture-perfect scenery here looks like a postcard. Am I right? I actually didn’t think it was real at all.
What did I tell you?

These pictures are oddly satisfying, no? If you’re like me, you enjoy looking at sights like these all day long. That’s one way to let the hours pass by. I wouldn’t mind that one bit, haha.
Which one is your favorite so far? It’s so hard. I can’t pick just one because I love them all.
