Dax Shepard Reveals Why He's So Open About 'Black Out' Fights With Kristen Bell

We already know that Dax Shepard and Kristen Bell are one of Hollywood's most adorable and elite celeb couples.

Their parenting techniques are often praised for being progressive and unconventional. Kristen and Dax are also super open and honest about their own relationship. Recently, Dax revealed why it's so important for him to share the ups and downs he and his wife face.

It's no secret that Dax Shepard and Kristen Bell are couple goals AF, not just because of who they are as a duo, but how they raise their adorable family!

The A-list couple started dating in 2007 before tying the knot in 2013. Kristen and Dax share two daughters, Lincoln, 7, and Delta, 6.

As fans will know, the pair are careful to never show pictures of their kid's faces on social media.

Kristen and Dax are very open and honest about how they parent their children, so it's no surprise they're open and honest about their marriage, too.

Last year, Kristen told fans she and Dax had a fight so intense they "blacked out."

Kristen told Justin Long on his podcast: "I left a note and I was like, 'Hey dad! Would you mind taking the two towels in the dryer and folding them and then like one other thing,'" she explained. "He goes, 'When you leave me notes, I feel really controlled.'"

"Somehow then we both blacked out and got into a fight," she went on.

"I don't actually remember what happened, but what transpired was a lot of volume, a lot of harsh words being thrown around, and it was an angry, angry fight about how nobody does anything for anybody else."

The pair reconciled by adopting their dog, Frank.

Obviously, being this candid with fans will come with backlash.

Now, Dax is defending his decision to be so honest while appearing on Sunday Today with Willie Geist..

"We don't want anyone to think we met and it's been easy," he said.

"Because if that's someone's expectation of a relationship, and certainly marriage, it's a bad expectation to have."

"It's interesting," he added. "We don't feel like we have an option to be anything other than honest."

I love that! I wish more Hollywood couples were like Kristen and Dax!
