When it comes to gender and the sexes, there are things that one has that the other envies and vice versa. For women, we always think about how much men make in salary compared to us, and the “space” they are always allowed and expected to take up in society .
For men, many of them wish they can have the impact on society that women do often—like, getting free drinks at the bar or even the ability to get out of a speeding ticket by flirting. There are many things that we want, that we just don’t or can’t have.
The clothing selection that women have.
A_Dog_Chasing_Cars and other men on Reddit share that they are jealous that women have such a big selection of clothing and that they are designed so “elegantly” and well.
Many other men chimed in saying that they agree that the men’s clothing section is never stacked well or even organized as nicely as the women’s section.
And, the comfort that men’s clothing has.
“On the flip side, I envy the comfort of men’s clothes. Like who cares about having 1000 different articles of clothing you can choose from? I’ll take my black hoodie and sweatpants tyvm. Then again women wearing men’s clothes is much less stigmatized than the other way around,” said Reddit user RainbowDivine .
No period cramps.
Sea_You_En_Tea and the majority of women on Reddit said the one thing they absolutely and positively envy about the opposite sex is not getting a monthly period.
Let’s face it, the fact that women bleed and have to endure cramps for an entire week every single month is just not it for any of us.
Women envy that “easy bathroom break.”
Lanfear_Is_Me said that men being able to stand up and pee wherever they want is something that they envy a lot. Women always need to “pop a squat” and find something to wipe with, as well.
On the other hand, men can just go pee wherever, whenever, and can do it in peace.
Being the “little spoon.”
Blainefeinspains said that he envies that women are mostly the “stereotypical little spoon.” He said that he wants to be held the way that most women are held, but it’s not usually the socially acceptable way to cuddle.
Once his girlfriend held him as the little spoon and he said it was “the first time he had ever been held that way.”
The expectation of making the first move.
dabbo93 said that it is way too much pressure sometimes to be the one who is “expected” to make the first move and also be the one who is pursuing the relationship at all times.
Many men agreed they don’t like that they are always expected to take the lead in any relationships with the opposite sex, and even in the bedroom, as well.
How often they can show emotions.
Bain_PD confessed that he is a “sensitive” guy, but whenever he shows any kind of emotion, he gets “raked through the coals” by his friends.
It can be a movie, commercial, TV show, anything—he will get made fun of for shedding a tear or two. However, he says women don’t get much pushback when they are that sensitive or show any emotions.

Manicures are super relaxing like a spa treatment, and let’s face it, some of the nail designs are really cool and interesting. However, another Reddit user pointed out that men are more comfortable with getting their nails done recently now.
Pockets. All the pockets!
ShadowWolfee_34 and many other women know that one thing we all envy is that men’s clothing and men’s outfits always have pockets.
Not all clothing items that women get have pockets and even when they do, they are so small that we can barely fit anything in them!
Short shower time.
delee76 said one small thing they envy about men is that their showers are easy peasy.
Women are always in the shower for a long time because we have way more to handle. Washing our hair, shaving, moisturizing, exfoliating—it all takes time. Men are in and out, rather quickly.
Their medical needs are taken seriously.

No labor and delivery.
redvanpyre brought up that being a woman is rather hard and they envy that men are able to become parents without having to carry a baby for nine months, deliver them, and have to go through the aftermath of childbirth. Being a parent is great, but the pain of becoming a mother is very hard for many women.
