Being a guest at a wedding is an honor. Some couples invite you to spend the most special day of their lives with them and some feel like it’s a very nice thing. However, there are others who are not the kindest or the smartest when it comes to being a guest at a wedding.
They sometimes act foolish and also a bit rude when the day should definitely not be about them. And, wedding guests who ruin things for the couple are the absolute worst. We’re here to share some of the bad ones.
Throw her out, for good!

One wife said that a girl who had a crush on her now-husband showed up to their wedding, which is awkward enough. But, to make matters worse, she showed up in a wedding dress . And, she sat on her groom’s lap during their wedding reception! Thankfully a bridesmaid threw her out entirely.
Who does this?

84th_legislature shared that her mother-in-law decided that she was going to bring a bunch of potted plants to her wedding because she had “heard” there would not be enough flowers.
Not only that, but the bride had already spent a ton on flower arrangements and did not need or want her plants.
Who throws a water balloon at a wedding?

Sportsquid said that they went to a wedding as a guest and the bride was very small and thin, maybe 95 pounds total. Instead of throwing rice, one guy thought it would be super funny to throw a water balloon at the bride. It didn’t pop on the bride, but it bounced off her head and she was in tears.
Families are wild sometimes.

YeOldeHotDog said that his uncle was a wedding guest at their wedding and he got super, super drunk, and was running around with a knife, screaming in Chinese. On top of that, he threw a microphone into the wedding cake and it landed perfectly on the cake.
Nothing like an ex-husband to ruin the fun.

namesaremptynoise shared that at his brother’s wedding reception, the bride’s ex-husband showed up—uninvited and super drunk. He came to ruin the wedding, of course, and refused to leave. He had to be forced and escorted out of the venue.
Maybe poor timing?

babasko said that five minutes before their wedding ceremony, their aunt told them that their grandfather had terminal cancer and had only a few months to live. Their parents knew, but they wanted to wait until after the wedding to tell them. The rest of the day was rather sad because of this news.
Mother of the groom “objected.”

One Reddit user shared that at a wedding they attended, the mother of the groom was super drunk and during the “speak now” part of the ceremony, she stood up and objected. Her husband had to pull her out of the place, kicking and screaming.
I just…don’t understand.

“My drunken 19 year old cousin stole the camcorder being used to make the wedding video, took it into the bathroom and proceeded to pleasure himself on camera….no one knew until we all (the WHOLE family) sat down to watch it a few weeks later,” said one Reddit user.
They wanted to steal their thunder.

Rumble_bot said that at their friend’s wedding, another friend ended up proposing to his girlfriend in the middle of the reception and it took all of the attention and thunder away from the couple who was actually getting married that day. A total rude move.
This uncle had a motive.

“My uncle walked up to me on the dance floor at my wedding and handed me a small envelope.
‘There’s not much in here, but this is for you. Don’t tell your husband you have it, and when you get divorced in a few years, call me and I will send you more.’
Then he turned and walked away,” shared cnuwifegsd .
Who’s running the show?

AdviceWithSalt said that the mother-in-law hijacked the entire wedding and photographer, and wanted the photographer to only take the photos she requested. But, the groom knew this was going to happen beforehand and even warned her.
Oops!

“The butterflies my friend released at her wedding refused to fly away and instead landed on guests and members of the wedding party. They just sat there, flapping their wings slowly and lazily, enjoying the confusion they caused,” shared bluesky557 .
Grandmas can be savages.

AndyWho1237 shared that the wife’s grandmother said some pretty rude and awful things to everyone at the wedding before the wedding even began. She went up to them, one-by-one, to talk a whole lot of smack and ruin the entire wedding. They still don’t talk to this day.
This one is cute though!

“I was 3-4 years old and I was the ring bearer at my favorite aunt’s wedding. Well apparently, I carried the rings up and I got tired of standing around during the ceremony. So what’s a kid to do? I put the pillow down, laid down on the pillow, took a nap,” said another Reddit user.
