More and more these days, people are opting to buy a house or apartment with character, as opposed to something more cookie-cutter. We’re all unique individuals, so shouldn’t our homes reflect that?

There’s a reason why you don’t put the bathtub in the middle of the bathroom.
Mostly because it forces you to have to step over the tub every time you want to wash your hands. I can’t say that I understand why this person decided to go with two different colors of tile, either, but to each their own.
Wouldn’t the floor get wet and moldy?
How would you ever clean the carpet on the floor? I understand the need for a bathmat, but carpeting the entire floor — who does that?! And can someone please explain to me why the front of the tub is also carpeted?

I have a lot of admiration and respect for DIYers, but sometimes you have to just admit to yourself that a task is out of your league. That way, your shower won’t end up looking like something out of a Saw film.

Aren’t Germans supposed to be masters when it comes to design and engineering? I don’t know about you, but this closet looks more to me like a game of Tetris that’s gone horribly wrong.
That closet is a little on the skinny side.
What on earth could you store in a closet as narrow as this, aside from maybe an ironing board? And why isn’t it centered on the wall? This just doesn’t make sense.
That stairway is a serious leg workout.
Every single one of these steps is a different depth, as well as a different height. Also, since there’s no handrail, I’m fairly certain that if anyone were to ever fall — they’d be dead before they reached the bottom step.
So is the sink just for show?
Washing the dishes in a kitchen like this would certainly be no easy task. You’d either be forced to stand up on the window sill or climb up on the counter. Neither of which seems like a good idea.
When two become one…
Where do I even begin? Let’s start with the fact that the glass panes in the door make about as much sense as that gigantic door handle. The brick in the front facade doesn’t match, and for some reason, there’s a giant blue “N” by the top window.
When is a door not a door?
Apparently, the answer is “when it’s a window.” How would you even be able to move in? There’s no way you’d ever be able to fit a kitchen table through that tiny window, let alone a mattress and box spring.
Doesn’t a glass door kind of defeat the whole purpose?
I mean, seriously, why have any door at all? The last place that I want to feel as if I’m on display is in the bathroom, while I’m sitting on the porcelain throne. Then again, they do make glass shower doors, so is this really that far out there?
Open-concept bathrooms aren’t really my thing.
Call me old-fashioned, but I still prefer to have a door that closes and locks when it comes time for me to do my business. Pooping at the top of the stairs for all to see (and smell) just seems a bit too avant-garde for me.
Something’s not right, here…
It’s nice to see that this property manager puts such an emphasis on security. It’s slightly less encouraging, however, once you realize that this security door could easily double as a ladder for any thief with their wits about them.
I am beyond confused.
How are you supposed to access the washroom? Is there an elevator or a set of vanishing stairs that I’m not seeing? Do you drop in from the top like your Tom Cruise in Mission Impossible ? I’m at such a loss, here.
A little excessive with the windows.
My mind craves symmetry and this window layout is making my head hurt! How can one house have so many windows so close together?! And why does the one window on the upper level only have one shutter on the right?
I think someone must’ve read the floor plan upside down.
Riddle me this: how is anyone supposed to set the oven to 425-degrees when it’s seven feet off the ground? Unless this home belongs to Shaquille O’Neal, I’m willing to wager that these tenants are going to have some issues.
