By now, we’ve all got enough of a handle on life that we know things won’t always go our way. Unfortunately, some of have had a lot more experience with this fact of life than others, but everyone feels frustrated and disappointed sometimes.
But while there are ways we can expect to be disappointed in life, some problems that darken our doorsteps blindside us so hard that we wouldn’t have even imagined them as a worst-case scenario.

In some cases, it’s not even that the results are worse than we expected, but rather that they came so far out of left field that we don’t know what category of bad they fit under.
But while these events may not have made their subjects’ days better, they certainly made ours a lot more interesting.
This is a good reminder of how easily we can be oblivious about something that’s super noticeable to everyone else.
In case it’s not clear what happened, this man went grocery shopping only for his wife to realize that her thong had been stuck on the velco of his pants for the whole time.
From the sounds of it, he didn’t seem to care that much, but she seemed pretty embarrassed.

But once they did, they learned that whoever packed it did their level best to give them as few pieces of bacon and scrambled eggs as possible.

Depending on how evil you think cats like to be, you might have your own idea as to how much of this was intentional.
After all, it’s not just that this person’s cat knocked a roll of toilet paper into the toilet. No, the problem is that that the little devil did it to their last roll of toilet paper.
It’s hard to call that a coincidence.
While it’s easy to understand the appeal of a Lion King swimsuit, it couldn’t be more obvious that this isn’t an official one.
Knowing how intensely brand-conscious Disney is, I can’t really see them OKing any merch that makes Simba looks like he’s about to vomit.

Because even if you can somehow avoid messing up your ankles, it turns out that those heels can do as much damage to a windshield as they can to someone else’s feet.
It’s honestly kind of cool how they stayed in place, but I bet the driver feels differently.
It’s always sad to see someone become everything they’ve always hated.
Because no matter how much their coworkers may waste toner, they’d have a hard time using as much as somebody did to print this message.

Well well well, it looks like it’s not the truck driver this person should’ve worried about.

I turns out that the uploader threw a lighter at their roommate, who then instinctively slapped it away and sent it hurtling right into the screen.

Believe it or not, this sign is being absolutely serious.
Apparently, this chair belonged to one of the uploader’s coworkers until a customer made it pretty undesirable by peeing themselves on it.
And for anyone who’s wondering, no. It doesn’t sound like they did it on purpose.
Although it’s clear this guy isn’t going to get anywhere, many of us can think of situations where it felt like we were doing this.
And if you can’t, congratulations! Holiday dinners with your extended family have a lot fewer political arguments than the rest of us.
I would be curious to know how well this works for the kids because I’m not finding it that helpful, to be honest.
To be honest, I don’t even get nervous about going to my dentist. But I probably would if he came out rocking one of these.
To cut the person responsible for this photo some slack, they didn’t think it was a good idea to cook Tupperware in the oven.
It just turns out that they didn’t know that their roommate was using the oven to “prove” bread, so they preheated it for something else and voilà! Big mess!
It’s unclear exactly what this person was trying to do here, but I’m guessing this wasn’t the result they were looking for.
If I had to guess, I’d say that they were using this saw because the tire wasn’t coming off without it, but then things went horribly wrong.
But frankly, who knows? This is a new one on me.
This massive fungus formed in the uploader’s French press in the week between times they made coffee.
Apparently, they forgot to empty it before going on a work trip, which created the conditions it needed to grow life.
Very exciting, but only if you’re not a coffee drinker.
It looks like this woman’s leopard print pants are a little racier than she was expecting.
And likely because it means she’s going to have to field a lot more uncomfortable requests, she looks less-than-impressed about this bold new surprise.
