I don’t know about you, but most of my days are pretty similar. I don’t often have stories about something weird or unique that happened.
That’s okay, though. I might be living a buttoned-down life, but if I need an interesting anecdote, I’ll always have these pics to show off.

Strawberries are a pretty familiar sight to most of us, but this pic shows every stage of the berry’s development, including some phases that are a little less familiar.

This tombstone hits a little harder than most for the sentiment it expresses. Imagine getting praise for killing combatants, then getting home and being told that it’s illegal to love your mate.
Doggy glitch.
This dog’s coat pattern seems pretty unremarkable until you get to the big honkin’ spot on its back. Why’s it there? How is it a basically perfect circle? What’s the deal?
No, I don’t think I will.
“I own a crisp 100 dollar bill from 1934 along with a letter from the Secret service requesting it be destroyed,” wrote this poster, who I’ll assume immediately destroyed the bill after taking this pic.
Goldmine.
Sometimes you’re eating a bag of chips and you happen upon one with extra seasoning, or extra folds. It feels pretty special, right?
I’m guessing it feels incredible to find a full-on fried potato ball inside.
Pocket-sized.
This slim, diminutive volume is more than a century old. It includes all of Shakespeare’s plays, all in a tiny form factor. I didn’t know they made books this small back then.
Double duty.
Lego makes a pretty good-looking Statue of Liberty set. As it turns out, the torch’s flame can also be used as a (rad-looking) haircut for a Lego minifigure.
Frozen in time.
This puppy, which is either a wolf or a dog, was found preserved in the Siberian permafrost. It’s incredibly well-preserved, considering it’s around 18,000 years old.
SNES-ready.
This camper van is a 1996 model. Even without knowing the model year, the fact that it has Super Nintendo controller ports inside would probably give you an idea of its age.
Take it easy.
This isn’t a messed-up hallway. It’s actually a carefully-crafted optical illusion which uses more than four hundred tiles. The idea is to stop people from running in the hallway.
Endless power.
It’s probably out of my price range, but I wouldn’t mind owning a solar yacht like this one. It’s covered in solar panels, which means that it never really has to stop to refuel.
All straightened out.
Scoliosis causes painful bending of the spine. The x-ray on the left really shows how bad things can get. Fortunately, after some corrective surgery and a few metal bars, things can get fixed up.
Ethereal.
This is a pic of Chicago, as reflected on the surface of Lake Michigan, taken from a cruising airplane. It could also be the cover of an Enya album.
Gotta be cursed.
You’re looking at the tomb of Rameses VI in Egypt’s Valley of Kings. While it looks like an Indiana Jones setpiece, I’d probably leave because I’m deathly afraid of ancient Egyptian curses.
That’s a big mountain.
This is Olympus Mons, the largest mountain in our whole solar system. At about 72,000 feet high, it’s more than two and a half times taller than Mount Everest.
Nice perm.
This pigeon has naturally curly feathers. That’s the story it’s going with, at least. No one with curly hair wants to admit that the effect isn’t natural.
Gone.
These pics show the same dude before and after the Berlin Wall came down. Extra credit to him for replicating his childhood pose and denim wardrobe.
Bumper crop.
I thought these were white tomatoes or something, but they’re actually a trio of massive pieces of hail. Hopefully this person parks their car in the garage.
