When an actor becomes famous as a kid, we tend to think of them as that kid forever, especially if they don't do a whole lot of acting once they grow up. That's especially true for Macaulay Culkin, who we see as 8-year-old Kevin McCallister every year at Christmas when the Home Alone films get played over and over again.
Even he has to get older, though!
He's also received acclaim for his work in My Girl, The Good Son, and has more recently had work as an actor on American Horror Story and Robot Chicken.
He's also well-loved by the Internet in general for just being a hilarious person.
That means that yes, Kevin McCallister is 40 years old now, and we can all take a minute to reflect on how very old that makes us feel. Personally, I feel old enough to live in a crypt, but that's just me.
