Alright, I’m convinced that cats are made of rubber because there is no way they can all be this damn stretchy.
Seriously, it’s a whole phenomenon. There’s even an entire subreddit devoted to showing off our furry felines stretching their infinite limbs to the sky, which is appropriately titled r/CatsAreLiquid .
Whether rubber or liquid, one thing’s for sure: cats are longer than life, and here are some of the stretchiest lil’ furballs who prove that point perfectly.
“He can play Tetris.”

I believe the word this person was looking for is, “Catris.”
Also, loving the “I’ve been caught!” look this particular feline is wearing. Perhaps his flexibility was meant to be kept a secret. That, or he doesn’t like being interrupted during stretch-time.
I think your cat may have accidentally melted…

I admire this furball’s dedication to stretching out on what clearly ended up being a really narrow spot.
After all, we know cats pretty much live by the motto, “*If I fits, I sits.” (Or in this case, “If I fits, I turns myself into Elasti-kitty.”)
“Cat… slug?”

Look, I don’t like slugs. But I wouldn’t mind hanging out with this furry little guy for awhile, even if his apparent lack of arms or legs kind of gives me the heebie-jeebies .
You’ve got mail!

Oh good! My package finally arrived! And it’s just what I ordered, too!
“Somebody forgot to put the cap on and he’s just oozing out.”

Do you remember when your computer would glitch as a kid and you could drag icons around your desktop, creating a long path of infinite icon duplicates?
That’s sort of how I imagine this mega-kitty was created.
What we have here is a worm, not a cat.

Much like the aforementioned slug, I don’t particularly like worms. But then again, this one has the cutest lil’ face I ever did see, so I guess I’d be down for some weird, wormy snuggles if he is.
“It’s been 30 minutes.”

To be fair, what else is a liquid cat supposed to do when he’s home all day? Not spill out onto the windowsill? Yeah right.
When life gets to be just a lil’ too much…

I can’t help but wonder if perhaps this little kitty’s spine is made of rubber? Or, perhaps, doesn’t exist? How else do you explain such a position?
“Compete liquid phase established!”

I like this cat’s energy. I, too, would love to enter a complete liquid phase and just spill out onto the floor like I’ve given up on everything.
It looks super calming.
Just layin’ around.

Perhaps this cat has a cat sibling, and he decided today he wasn’t in the mood to share any aspect of the cat tree. So naturally he spread out as far as his weird little liquid body could go and made sure no other kitty would be able to enjoy the tree today.
Behold! A complete 180°!

Just looking at this photo makes me feel like I should call my chiropractor. I’ve now reached an age where such bizarre positions render me entirely useless for 4-6 weeks.
“I found a weird, overiszed furry snake with ears.”

I’ll be honest, when I first looked at this picture I did, indeed, think I was looking at a curiously furry snake. But alas, it’s a cat.
A very, very stretchy cat, at that.
I want to believe this is Photoshopped.

But I’m pretty sure this uncooked spagh-kitty is all natural, and all kinds of flexible.
Also, I love this comment pointing out how he’s perfectly advertising for Nike right now (or, perhaps, Ni-kitty ).
“Salvador Dali’s cat.”

Ever seen Salvador Dali’s painting, “The Persistence of Memory”, also known as “the melting clock picture”?
This is that, but with a cat.
