Being an inventor or a designer can be incredibly tricky jobs! They require years of training and they also require you to not be a complete dolt.
However, the people on this list are more doltish than the doltiest dolt around! So, please enjoy these 13+ people who we hope aren’t professional designers!
“So are you open or nope?”
This is a real “is the cup half full or half empty” situation. Personally, I can’t see anything but “nope,” which says a lot about my mental state.
“How am I supposed to wash my hands?”
I’m sure this seemed like an incredibly ingenious idea when it was first suggested. However, it could be the stupidest design idea I’ve seen in a long time.
“This logo of a company in my city.”
This takes terrible logo designing to a whole new level. I worry about where the person who designed this thinks legs are meant to go!
“Unreadable, found in a Swedish hotel room.”
I’m actually struggling to work out what the last section is meant to say? Every time I try to read it all the way through I get a nose bleed.
“Kleenex really gave this Spider-Man tissue box a ‘crappy’ design.”
This might have ruined Spiderman for a lot of people. I mean, that is where spiders typically produce web from I guess?
“That isn’t how a face works.”
How do people miss the incredibly simple point of these things? Like, seriously, how does a functioning human adult not understand how these work?!
“Why not just make the fin the A in both words?”
We really do need to be doing to more to saae the sharks as this sticker suggests. They need saaing now more than ever.
“Dear God…”
Just how did no one read that back to themselves and see the problem here. Maybe someone should look into this business a little more closely.
“Can someone tell me what this jacket is actually made of?”
I don’t know what this is actually made of but, whatever it is, you can be sure that there is a lot of it!
“Anxiety shower.”
This horrific headache-inducing design makes everything around it look equally off-kilter. I mean, is that bar straight or not?
“Worst slide design ever. Worst six feet of my life.”
This slide was obviously designed by a man who absolutely despises children. Weird person to choose to design a playground in hindsight, really.
“Why would you make it red and coming out of his neck?”
Why on Earth wouldn’t you make it the dolphin’s tongue? I mean, that’s still a bit weird I guess, but it’s better than the bloodstream from its severed neck!
“This stop sign…”
I like it when my road signs are hidden. It really adds an element of terror and general unease to driving!
“Acronyms do not translate well.”
“So, should I change the acronym for the Spanish version?”
“Why? Just leave it the same.”
“I don’t think that’s going to work, Dave.”
“Allan, they’re the same words, you idiot. Of course it will work.”
“This door slides shut onto a light switch.”
At least now you won’t be leaving lights on in this room when you leave! Very energy-efficient design!
“With G things od All Possible are.”
At first I thought that this sounded like something that Yoda might say, although maybe only if he had a stroke.
“These nightmare fuelling wax figures.”
Why can’t people just stop making wax figures? They’re never impressive, and they’re always goddamn terrifying!
“But, why would you take a picture of… that?”
Someone did point out that this person did actually take a picture of this though… Also, why the hell does it say “stay smoothie” at the bottom?
“People wearing face masks looking like monsters.”
A mask or face covering is strongly recommended in this area so you can hide your horrifying maw and razor-sharp teeth from the public.
“My hurricane grade metal roof didn’t survive Category 1 winds.”
It’s better to find out now than it would be during anything stronger!
“Black one is salt, white one pepper.”
Small and ultimately inconsequential, but extremely annoying and infuriating. How dare someone do this.

In reference to the last photo, too: Does anyone who designs children’s attractions actually know what children like?

Design likes this just put an added risk into the home. You know, to keep you on your toes.
“This sidewalk in San Diego.”
The city is very subtly trying to get you to walk a tiny bit more. A few extra steps in your day could make all the difference.
“Window with a view.”
“Good morning! How’s the chimney looking today? …Yep, still bad.”
“Myself and numerous others blew this stop sign for obvious reasons. Friend for scale.”
Tall and skinny? Was this sign made for Slenderman only?
“Edges of the table cloth [are] blurry. Making me feel dizzy irl.”
Seeing as I feel nauseous and I’m looking at it through a screen, I can only imagine the nightmare it is in person.
“Designer bed leg or shin buster 8000?”
There’s no rule saying it can’t be both! Rustic and sadistic.
“Bet you can’t flex this!”
Ah yes, the perfect shirt for when you want your friends to think that you either sweat a lot or have a spider’s nest in your armpit.
“This elevator button layout requires instructions.”
This is a surefire way to make sure I never get to the floor I need, ending with me crying due to stress and confusion.
“A convenient place to store your balls.”
I have never heard that word used as an abbreviation of unicorn before…and with very good reason!
