These days, it’s not good enough to just get a tattoo — you must get one that stands out. And what better way to do that than with a tattoo that’s so unique it will make you look twice, right?
I’m talking about illusion and 3D tattoo designs that are pretty much out of this world. I think these examples definitely qualify.

Wowza, I can’t get over the fact that somebody was able to do this with a tattoo! This Fight Club inspired piece is definitely something I’ve never seen before. This tattoo artist is a sheer genius with ink.

I dunno about you but when I look at this tattoo I feel like I’ve entered The Twilight Zone . Do you get what I’m saying here? Getting something like this will definitely make you stand out from the crowd.

How cute is this embroidery tattoo? I absolutely adore it. It literally looks like it’s been etched in this person’s skin. This is such a cool tattoo technique. I’ve seen so many of these lately and I love them.

OMG, isn’t this meerkat tattoo so amazingly realistic? It’s like this little cute creature escaped from nature and jumped on this person’s arm, ha, ha! At least that’s how I feel when I look at this work of art.

I’ve always been pretty fascinated by geometric tattoos. They can be so intricate and unique. I bet if you got something like this you wouldn’t be matching with too many people. That’s the beauty of this type of design.

I would really love to know how someone maps out an elaborate tattoo design such as this one? I wouldn’t even know where to start. I guess that’s why they do what they do.

These artists are so talented to be able to do what they do. It must’ve taken them years to perfect but when you get something like this it’s truly special. Isn’t it?
13. This 3D Butterfly
Oh my goodness, at first glance I thought a butterfly landed on this girl’s shoulder. Then I realized it was such a well-done tattoo instead. Not only it looks so realistic but the colors are absolutely gorgeous, too.
