Shouldn’t they get a little credit for remaining true to themselves and waiting until marriage? Our answer is a resounding, “YES!”

1. Lisa Kudrow
Married at the age of 32, Lisa has proudly spoken out about her decision to wait. In an interview, the Friends star commented , “I’m saving myself. Because I have to make myself worthy of the kind of man I have in mind.” Right on, Lisa!

The Insecure actress is anything but that when it comes to the topic of remaining a virgin until marriage. And while her character is involved in some steamy scenes, Yvonne is staying true to her vow at all times.
3. Jessica Simpson
Everybody remembers watching Jessica and 98° frontman, Nick Lachey, tie the knot on MTV. Before their engagement, Jessica was very outspoken about her feelings in regards to pre-martial sex and her desire to wait until her wedding night.
Jessica and Nick went on to file for divorce several years later, and she decided to take a different route her second time around.

5. Russell Wilson… Kind Of
While Russell wasn’t a virgin before he met Ciara, the couple did vow to remain celibate during their courtship, and didn’t do the deed until after they’d gotten married.
The Seattle Seahawks quarterback attributes his willingness to remain celibate to his religious beliefs and upbringing. His wife happily agreed to stay celibate throughout their courtship.
On their wedding day, Ciara jokingly said , “You know what we’re doing tonight!” How sweet.
Ciara was super supportive, and even opened up about it during an interview with Cosmopolitan South Africa.
“I have to give credit to my husband for sharing those views. It’s awesome how it all worked out. You shouldn’t feel like you have to give your body away to get someone to like you.” She told Cosmo .
6. Kevin Jonas
Kevin was one of the three Jonas brothers to publicly promise to stay a virgin until marriage. He got married in 2009 and welcomed a child into the world just five years later. Nicely done, Kev.
His brothers didn’t follow suit, but their perspectives are interesting nonetheless.
Nick told Wendy Williams, “Am I still a virgin? No. As I said, I’m an adult in all ways. I’m comfortable with who I am.”
Similarly, Joe fessed up to the reality of it all when he told New York Magazine , “We decided to take the rings off a few years ago. I lost my virginity when I was 20. I did other stuff before then, but I was sexually active at 20. I’m glad I waited for the right person, because you look back and you go, ‘That girl was batshit crazy. I’m glad I didn’t go there.'”

The star of HBO’s Crashing , this stand-up comic waited to have sex until he got married at the young age of 22. Sure, he didn’t wait as long as some of these other celebs, but he still kept his vow of celibacy and that’s what it’s all about, right? Good job, Pete.

The Disney Channel star has always been more than upfront about waiting until marriage. Though she has since divorced from her husband, she has never regretted the decision she made to remain a virgin during her youth.

Everyone knows Julianne from Dancing With The Stars but did you know she’s super serious about celibacy? When asked about it, Julianne remarked , “…if you’re just with one person, it’s only for one good reason, and [waiting to have sex] will strengthen that relationship.” We couldn’t agree more, Julianne!
