Anyone in-tune with wrestling knows it's an all-around sport encompassing entertainment and athletics. Former cheer star Gabi Butler is taking her talents to the ring as she plans to sign with WWE.

Wrestling Is Similar To Cheerleading

SummerSlam was the turning point for Butler, who experienced wrestlers in a new light and began respecting the athleticism that goes into each match.

She likened it to a cheerleading competition with how the fighters went at each other while maintaining the professionalism of entertaining the audience.

Butler liaised with Stephanie McMahon - the WWE Co-CEO, and the rest is history. She said,

"It's very related to cheerleading because we're performers, we're entertainers, we like to put on a show and we also have to be athletic."

Gunning For The Olympics

According to the exclusive interview, Butler is still a trainee at the Performance Center in Orlando pending the time she's ready to commit fully. She's never taken a break from cheerleading but did this year.

Butler planned to cheer at the Olympics before retiring from Cheerleading so no WWE for her until then.

Butler's mantra is to be the best in whatever field you find yourself in, and she doesn't believe she's achieved G.O.A.T status until she conquers the Olympics. The 23-year-old is already a two-time World Champion and two-time Collegiate National Champion, so she's selling herself short.

Pushing The Limits

Regardless of her achievements, Butler is an overachiever and believes she can do anything she wants. Pushing the limits comes easy to her as she's been doing it since eight-years-old. However, we'll see where she goes next year.

Meanwhile, she has a dependable partner in her boyfriend, Ricky Nunn, who's also a cheerleader and involved in many of her daring stunts.

Relationship With Ricky Nunn

Nunn and Butler cheer any and everywhere, as seen on their Instagram pages. They're not afraid to share their practice fails with fans so that they learn never to give up. Be it the streets of Greece, Rome, by a waterfall, or in the gym, Nunn is ready to catch his girlfriend.

He's on the US National Team, and fans suspect Butler would try out for the squad so she can fulfill her Olympic dreams.
