Hulu's latest series, Pam And Tommy, which documents the whirlwind relationship and subsequent sex tape leak of Pamela Anderson and Tommy Lee, has been generating a lot of buzz since its announcement, and now that the first few episodes of the 8 episode series have gone live, people have been commenting more than ever. Whether it's praising the makeup artists for the look-alike quality of actors' Lily James and Sebastian Stan's transformation into Pam and Tommy, or the careful portrayal of the violation of privacy of its stars, many people have been sharing their positive thoughts, but not everyone is happy.

Some fans of 'Pam And Tommy' were shocked to learn that Pamela Anderson was not involved at all in the creation or filming of the project.

Star Lily James explained that she had been "hopeful" that Pamela would be involved. I wish it had been different,” and that she had been attempting to get in touch with Pamela “right up until we started filming" but was unsuccessful.

Meanwhile, sources close to Pamela have stated she finds the series "very painful," and many fans believe that her lack of involvement should have meant that the series did not move forward.

Some fans found the series continuing without her involvement to be exploiting Pamela again.

"Reminder that #PamAndTommy was made against the wishes of Pamela Anderson and that the show’s creators, writers, directors and stars are essentially doing the same thing that was done to her when the tape was leaked: violating her lack of consent," one fan tweeted.

Some people felt that Lily James and Sebastian Stan should not have agreed to the project without Pamela's involvement.

"Pam & tommy was made without pamela anderson’s consent depicting a very real and difficult period of her life and not a single person involved in the show thought ‘maybe we shouldn’t do this’…? not even a little bit guilty?" one fan asked.

Many fans insisted they would not be watching the show.

"It feels uncomfortable watching the dramatised version of the real life story of a woman who was subjected to a sex crime (by having her most intimate moments exposed without consent) and knowing that she didn't consent to the drama being made either!" one tweeted.

What do you think? Is the show exploiting Pamela Anderson's story all over again? Have you been watching? Let us know what you think in the comments!
